Arulmigu Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar Temple — Attraction in Thiruvandhipuram

I was an avid and a regular visitor here just like thousands and millions of people here , people here come for praying, for the purpose of increasing their grades in education and the development overall, But even though there are just so many people who are successful in their life , after their prayers here , no one has the heart to renovate or increase the facilities such as proper footpath , toilets, marriage hall and so on for the people who travel from all over the country and world . This is such a shame, even though this temple is under the governance of the Hindu temples department of state government they don't take any steps to improve this temple or renovate or provide a proper facility for the pilgrims who visit this temple. I myself am just starting off with my earnings now , but what of those who have earned so much money and education and knowledge and are in such powerful position in the society? Have they done anything after their success , have any one of them have taken any steps , the so called higher caste or let it be anyone , what steps have they taken , it's such a shame , no thankfulness to this god, or to this religion, just...

The original name of this Temple is Thiruvahindrapuram DevanathaSwamy Temple. It is one of the 108 Divya Desam temples. The presiding deity is Devanatha and Hemabhujavalli. The Temple is known for Sri Hayagriva. It is the only historical Temple in South India to have a shrine of Sri Hayagriva on Hilltop. We were blessed to visit on 2 days as on the first day Hilltop Temple was closed at 07.00 PM. We also visited the Temple while returning back to Chennai. We had an excellent dharshan both at Sri DevanathaSwamy Temple and Sri Hayagriva on the hilltop. A must visit shrine for all the devotees. 1). இவ்வூர் ஆதிசேஷனால் நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட தலம். 2).அருகில் உள்ள மலை பிரம்மா தவம் செய்த இடம். அதனால் பிரம்மாச்சலம் என்றும் பெயர் பெற்றது. 3).கருடன் கொண்டு வந்த நதி கருடநதி என்றழைக்கப்பட்டு அருகில் ஓடுகிறது. தெற்கிலிருந்து வடக்கு நோக்கி 4). பாய்வதால் இந்த நதியில் குளித்தால் கங்கை நதியில் குளித்த புண்ணியம் உண்டாகும். 5). ரிஷியினுடைய சாபத்தால் இன்றும் இந்த நதியின் தீர்த்தம் மழைக்காலத்தில் ரத்தம் போல் சிவப்பாக ஓடுகிறது. 6).பொதுவாக பெருமாள் கோயில்களில் லட்சுமி நரசிம்மர் சன்னதியில் நரசிம்மர் லட்சுமி இடது மடியில் அமரவைத்திருப்பார். 7).ஆனால் இத்தலத்தில் நரசிம்மர் தனது வலது தொடையின்மீது அமரவைத்து அருள்பாலிப்பது இத்தலத்தின் சிறப்பம்சமாகும் . 8).இலங்கைக்கு சஞ்சீவி பர்வதத்தை எடுத்துச் சென்றபோது அனுமன் கையில் இருந்த சஞ்சீவி மலையிலிருந்து சிறிதளவு சரிந்து இந்த மலையில் விழுந்ததனால் இது ஔஷாதாசலம் என்ற பெயரை உறுதிப்படுத்திக் கொண்டதாம். 9).உடற்பிணிகளை போக்கும் ஔஷதிகள் இங்கே காணப்படுகின்றன. 10).மலையில் லட்சுமி ஹயக்ரீவர் எழுந்தருளியுள்ளார். வேதாந்த தேசிகன் இங்குள்ள ஒளஷதாசலத்தில் தவம் புரிந்து ஹயக்ரீவனையும் கருடனையும் கண்டு வரம் பெற்றார். 11).ஹயக்ரீவனுக்கு உலகிலேயே இவ்வூரில்தான் முதன் முதலில் கோயில் ஏற்பட்டது. 12).பெருமாளின் மங்களாசாசனம் பெற்ற 108 திவ்ய தேசங்களில் இது 42 வது திவ்ய தேசம் 13).பெருமாளுக்கு தீர்த்த தாகம் ஏற்பட்டபோது அங்கிருந்த கருடாழ்வார் தீர்த்தம் கொண்டு வரப் பணித்தார். அவர் எடுத்து வர தாமதம் ஆனதால் ஆதிசேஷனிடம் சொல்லி தன் வாலால் அடித்து பெருமாளுக்கு தீர்த்தம் தந்தார். அதனால் அதற்கு சேஷ தீர்த்தம் என்று பெயர் வந்தது. 14).இது ஒரு பிரார்த்தனை கிணறு ஆகும். இது கோயிலின் உள்ளே தெற்கு பிரகாரத்தில் உள்ளது. இதில் உப்பு மிளகு வெல்லம் போட்டு பிரார்த்தனை செய்தால் வியாதிகள் குணமாகும், 15).சர்ப்ப தோசம் உள்ளவர்கள் இங்குள்ள சர்ப்பத்தை வழிபட்டால் தோசம் நீங்கும். 16).ஆதிசேஷனால் நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட கிணறு இன்றும் கோயிலில் உள்ளது. 17)..பிரம்மா, சிவன், இந்திரன், பூமாதேவி, பிருகு, மார்க்கண்டேயர் முதலானோர் தவம் செய்த தலம் இத்தலம் நடு நாட்டு திவ்ய தேசங்களில் மிகவும் சிறப்பு பெற்றது. 18).வேதாந்த தேசிகன் இவ்வூரில் சுமார் 40 ஆண்டுகள் வசித்து வந்தார். அநேக...
