This temple is situated 7 kms from Thiruporur on the Thiruporur-Chengelpet highway, ~1.5 kms from the main road and right behind the Jambukeswarar temple, whose arch is the pointer for turning from the highway. The temple work was started in 1982 with further additions until 2008. It is a modern structure with powerful vibrations and prathishta
The temple celebrates Sree Matha Maha Lalithambikai in 3 forms: Sri Bala Tripurasundari (young girl), Sri Taruni (young lady), and Sri Oushadhambikai Lalitha Tripurasundari (woman)
The temple setup is in the form of the Srichakra Rajasabhai, with Sri Bala and Sri Taruni in the ground floor and Sri Oushadambikai on the first floor. Facing Sri Oushadambikai is Lord Shiva in the form of a Spatika Lingam
The speciality of Sri Oushadambikai is that She has been created out of a concoction of 60+ natural herbs, strained off of any synthetic compounds and Her holy structure is implanted with Baanalingams, Saaligramams, Ambika's Srichakrams, and Tripura's chakrams. It had taken many, many years of learning & perfecting the Siddha and Oushada techniques for the Goddess to appear in Her current form. Because of the presence of Baanalingams, Saaligramams, and Chakrams, Sri Oushadambikai is a powerful Prathishta of Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Devi herself!
Sri Oushadambikai stands tall at 9 feet, decked in beautiful jewelery that only accentuate Her powers and aura. Her front arms hold Ankusham (Sri Ashvaroodam, her favorite) and Paasham (Sri Sapathakari), while the hands at the back hold, Panchabaanam (Sri Vaarahi) and Sugarcane (Sri Maatangi). It is indeed a powerful presence and Her smiling face adds to the devotion quotient!
The priest is patient in explaining about the temple, especially if you're visiting for the first time. To visit Sri Oushadambikai on the first floor, men are not allowed to wear shirts/t-shirts, etc. and you need to climb the steps in forward fashion, while getting down in reverse fashion (not showing your back to the Goddess). As part of the temple process, the front desk also share an image of the Srichakra Rajasabhi and kumkum (holy vermillion) for everyone, along with holy prasad
It is amazing to know the amount of hard work and devotion that has gone into the construction of this temple - something that you only hear about in olden temples. The temple opening timings are followed to the letter, so there's no need to worry if the temple will be open, if priest will be available, etc. So, if you're planning to traverse the Thiruporur-Chengelpet highway, please plan to visit this temple and gain Sri...

This sacred and serene temple is dedicated to Goddess Sri Lalithambika, the Supreme Mother who embodies the oneness of Shiva-Parvathi, Vishnu-Lakshmi, and Brahma-Saraswati. She is the very essence of Shakti and the source of all divine manifestations.
Inside this temple, one can behold several divine forms of Sri Lalithambika as revealed by the Vashinyadi Vak Devatas in the Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam. Each idol reflects a unique aspect of Her infinite glory and grace.
As it is a private temple, worship is permitted only for select deities, and there are certain restrictions in place for others. Also, the temple staff may not offer much explanation regarding the various deities present.
However, for those who have studied and understood the depth of Lalitha Sahasranamam, the divine presence can be deeply felt. They will be able to recognise and rejoice in the spiritual significance of each idol and experience the bliss...
