Chhota Haridwar in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is a spiritual and religious site located near the Hindon River. It has been developed to facilitate religious ceremonies and rituals for Hindus, especially those related to last rites and ancestral worship, similar to the practices performed in the original Haridwar.

Key Features of Chhota Haridwar, Ghaziabad:

Location: It is situated along the Hindon River, providing a sacred and serene environment for performing rituals. Purpose: • It serves as a convenient site for people in and around Delhi-NCR to perform rituals like Pind Daan, Asthi Visarjan (immersion of ashes), and other ceremonies for deceased family members. • It is particularly useful for those who cannot travel to Haridwar due to financial, physical, or logistical constraints. Facilities: • Proper ghats have been constructed for ease of performing rituals. • There are provisions for priests and materials required for ceremonies. • The ghats are maintained to ensure cleanliness and accessibility. Accessibility: Located close to Ghaziabad city, it is easily accessible for residents of Delhi, Noida, and nearby regions. Spiritual Importance: Many believe performing these rituals at Chhota Haridwar holds the same spiritual significance as performing them in Haridwar.

Been here so many time, nice place and crowded place whenever you go you will find crowd and most happening place of modinagar and murad nagar. I used to come here when I was around 8 year old and found this place changing year by year. Around 4 years ago there were no restaurants near by chhota haridwar and now if you see, there are more than eight restaurants name of few are chhota haridwar restaurants, spice, hotel ganga , and many more. It like if people passing modinager they must stop there to have the view of the river and it is becoming famous point as Jain Sikanji of modinagar. During Ganesh pooja all near by city's people come chhota haridwar and float ganesh's statue in the holy river and you can find that day as a festival point as hindus celebrate that day very much and there is a very eye catchy statue of Shiv which give a awesome view as it is in the rive and there are one old temple. Place is always has surveillance of local police to protect the people visiting there. Nice place I would recommend you to visit and have a view of...

Nice place. Not too crowded. One can spend some peaceful time along the ghats. There are small temples on both ghats. Some space for ceremonies. Water was relatively clean. People were bathing on both ghats on either side of the canal. Baba's with some prasad come to purposely give you a ₹10/- note in that. They then ask for ₹100/- as offerings. Thay will eventually settle for ₹50/-. Best thing is to avoid these Baba's. Walk past them.with folded hands. Not take their prasad. One thing that the authorities should look into is that some people who are bathing in the canal were using shampoo and oil and throwing the pouches in the water. These people should be penalised. Proper notice and announcements should be made to make people aware against...

As the name suggests, it's the mini version of Haridwar. But the experience is no less. The place is clean and not many people, as yet. This place is practically hidden from plain sight so not many people know it exists, but that's perhaps a positive. It's off the main road, and currently some construction is going on. This is India, so as usual no boards or indication from the main road. From a religious perspective this is a great place to conduct your rituals. Not five stars because not much in terms of facilities or commercial resources. The are a couple of shops though... that's all. Come prepared with whatever you need for rituals or religious need. Do visit. Sunday mornings are when I have visited. I'm sure you will enjoy the experience.

This place is basically is an old bridge of upper Ganga canal near Muradnager town on the NH-58. in last few year it as been developed for bathing and boating in the canal by constructing ghats & temple near old bridge and given the name Chhota haridwar. But this place do not have any religious or historical value attached to it. It is purely a picnic place for near by area peoples. It has several street food options and some good restaurants near by. Parking is purely at owner`s risk. On weekends huge crowd gathered here from near by cities/towns. you must insure your car & belongings safety your self. over all a good spot for picnic with family.
