The Biggest Religious Scam I Have Ever Seen
Visiting Gokul Dham in Mathura was one of the worst travel experiences of my life. This place operates under the guise of spirituality, but in reality, it’s nothing more than a massive scam.
As soon as you arrive, self-proclaimed "priests" (Pandas) will approach you, pretending to guide you through the temple. However, their only goal is to force you into making donations in the name of God. If you refuse, they will insult you without hesitation. The entire system here is designed to extort money from visitors under the pretense of devotion.
The scam doesn’t stop at the temple. The locals have set up small, fake temples in their own homes, confusing visitors about which one is the real temple. No matter whom you ask, nobody will give you the correct information. It seems like the entire village is involved in this fraudulent scheme. From auto drivers to hotel owners, everyone is only interested in tricking you into spending money.
Mathura and Vrindavan are filled with people begging for donations using microphones inside temples, behaving no different from street beggars. Everywhere you go, you’ll hear the same chant: "Donate, serve, contribute!" Instead of genuine religious experiences, all you find is relentless money-grabbing.
Nidhivan, another supposedly sacred site, is also a mess. They have built multiple unnecessary temples inside the forest, which serve no real purpose other than extracting donations. Even the main priest is more concerned about collecting money than offering spiritual guidance. If you truly need money, at least beg honestly rather than deceiving people in the name of God.
Recommendation
If you are planning to visit Mathura-Vrindavan, I strongly advise you to skip most of the so-called temples. The only real and worthwhile places to visit are Prem Mandir, Rang Nath Temple, and Govind Dev Ji Temple. Everything else is just an organized scam designed to...
