The temple is beautiful and almost always crowded. However it needs to be a bit more clean with all the milk, water used for abhishek. Parikrama marg starts ryt there with multiple small temples and murtis. Make sure of not donating a hefty sum of money when not intended. There are a lot of shopkeepers, guides, priests ready to demand for a lot of money in some or the other around the whole parikrama marg especially some temples in between the marg or at some kund. Once parikrama is completed you'll reach this temple again, spend some time sitting at the temple, connecting to God. The feeling while walking around the parvat will itself be phenomenal and you'll encounter multiple kinds of people on your way inspiring and making you realize what life is all about sometimes, and how petite we are and petty are our issues and life, god, spirituality is much more than that. Wish u a good visit and parikrama Hare Krishna, Jai Jai Shree RadheЁЯМ╝

Goverdhan Mandir is a famous Hindu temple in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is considered a significant pilgrimage site for devotees. The temple's architecture is awe-inspiring, with intricate carvings and designs adorning the walls and ceilings. The temple's sanctum sanctorum houses an idol of Lord Krishna, which is beautifully decorated with jewels and flowers. The temple's surroundings are serene and peaceful, providing visitors with a tranquil atmosphere to offer their prayers and seek blessings. The temple also has a large courtyard where devotees can sit and meditate. Overall, Goverdhan Mandir is a must-visit destination for those seeking spiritual enlightenment and a deeper connection with Lord Krishna. Its stunning architecture, peaceful surroundings, and dedicated staff make it a memorable experience for all visitors.

Excellent place to take Lord Krishna blessings. Avoid weekends to beat crowd. One can easily park car at huge parking area right at entrance.Take e Rickshaw from parking area only.Charges approx Rs 500 for entire rickshaw. Yatra starts from haldi ghati and its easily covered in 2 hours via Richshaw.Beware of monkeys in entire yatra. Visit mandir s in between yatra. Mandir s are generally over crowded and in narrow lanes. At Jaitpur have aloo ki jalebi. OK types. Phase 2 of yatra which is called small parikarma one cant see Goverdhan parvat at all as its all enchorched. Have refreshment and Maghura s best sweets at Giriraj Misthan Bandhar..Top rated and must visit.

I know that when you visit a spiritual place, you need to feel the vibe and connect with it. Growing up hearing Krishna stories, watching Krishna Leela, and learning about the Mahabharata, this place does have a certain vibe. However, the downside is that it feels like the place is built over a sewer line, as all the gutters and sewers are overflowing. The temple wasnтАЩt clean, and there was a strong smell. At the very least, the temple should be kept clean. When the place itself is not clean, how are you supposed to feel connected to God? Cleanliness is the first rule of spirituality.

Unfortunately, this place seems to be more about marketing, and it is deteriorating day by day due to greed. I donтАЩt understand what the government is doing about it. Even the kunds here smell bad. After talking to a local, I found out that their house outlets and sewage are directed into the kund. How can we pray in such conditions? I hope up govt will do...

Wish u a good visit and parikrama Hare Krishna, Jai Jai...
