Jogger's Park — Attraction in Uttar Pradesh

The famous Joggers Park of the city is a vast green area located near Dubagga locality in Vasant Kunj. It provides a peaceful retreat for the residents of the surrounding area. With ample green cover and walking/jogging tracks, the park offers a serene environment and a good salubrious place for visitors. Located about 14 kilometres away from the main Hazaratganj area of the city, the park is nick-named "Lover's Park" as well.

To enter the park, visitors need to purchase a ticket for Rs 10.00 per person, and there is a separate parking fee. Unfortunately, the parking fee is unreasonably high compared to the entry fee, and visitors have to park their cars outside on the pavement in a limited space. The high parking fee is unnecessarily taxing, and the park's management should consider reducing it to a reasonable amount.

The park is home to a variety of trees including Plumeria, Powder Puff, Palm and fruit-bearing trees such as Guava. However, the park is poorly maintained, with irregular vegetation growth and beaten paths that do not leave a good impression. The two artificially made water bodies have dried up, and the fountains are broken and dysfunctional. Fallen leaves are left rotting in the puddles of water in the so-called water bodies.

The park's signages have become worn out and defaced due to lack of upkeep. The outdated, broken, and rusted swings in children's areas make it unsafe for toddlers and children. The only restroom in the park near the entrance is poorly kept and unhygienic, with broken pots and dry taps. The park management should take corrective action to improve the park's maintenance...
