Shri Chandi Mandir, located in Kishanganj, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chandi, the embodiment of power. Situated approximately 3 kilometers from Hapur city center on Bulandshahar Road, this ancient temple is considered a significant Shaktipeeth, attracting devotees from various regions.

The temple’s architecture features a series of steps leading to the sanctum, where the deity resides in the form of a ‘Pindi’. An intriguing aspect of the temple is a small opening above the idol, from which water droplets continuously fall onto the deity, symbolizing the cooling of the Goddess’s fierce form.

Devotees have a longstanding tradition of offering ‘chunri’ (a ceremonial cloth), coconuts, and other items to the Goddess. The temple conducts five daily ‘aartis’ (ritualistic prayers), creating an atmosphere of devotion and reverence. During the nine days of Navratri, the temple becomes a focal point for special rituals, including the bathing and anointment of the deity with ‘Panchamrit’ (a mixture of five sacred substances).

Visitors often highlight the temple’s serene environment, which offers a tranquil space for prayer and reflection. The management ensures that the premises are well-maintained, contributing to a positive spiritual experience.

For those planning a visit, the temple is accessible via National Highway 9, with the nearest airport being Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, approximately 70-80 kilometers away. Hapur Railway Station is the closest railhead, located about 3-4 kilometers from the temple. It’s advisable to visit during early morning or late evening hours to fully immerse oneself in the spiritual ambiance.

In summary, Shri Chandi Mandir in Hapur offers a profound spiritual experience, blending religious significance with cultural traditions. Whether you are a devotee seeking blessings or a traveler interested in exploring India’s rich religious heritage, a visit to this temple is both fulfilling...

It is Great & Peaceful Place to visit, It is located Near Shree Mahavir Hanuman Temple, Hapur In this Temple there are also the Sculptures of All The Goddess. But it is mainly Famous for Mata Chandi Devi.

Chandi (Sanskrit: Chaṇḍī) or Chandika (Chaṇḍika) is a Hindu deity. Chandika is a form of Parvati's alter ego, Durga. She represents the power or Shakti. Chandika is a powerful form of Parvati, who manifested to destroy evil. The three principal forms of Durga worshipped are Mahagauri, Chandika and Aparajita. Of these, Chandika has two forms called Chandi and Chamunda who is created by the goddess Kaushiki for killing demons Chanda and Munda.

She is known as the supreme goddess Mahishasuramardini or Durga who slayed the demon Mahishasura. She has been affiliated with and also considered as Katyayini, Kaushiki or Ambika who killed Shumbha, Nishumbha and their fellow demons. "The great Goddess was born from the energies of the male divinities when the devas became impotent in the long-drawn-out battle with the asuras. All the energies of the Gods became united and became supernova, throwing out flames in all directions. Then that unique light, pervading the Three Worlds with its lustre, combined into one, and became a...

This place has historical significance and established back in 1879(as per the manufacturing year mentioned in the facility). This temple is full of devotees all the time. People comes early morning from far places and this place is worth visiting several times during Navratri. Ancient temple in hapur. It is believed that one tunnel connects between chandi Mandir and a temple located 6-7 kms away. And in the basement nobody is allowed to enter bcoz it is beleive that chandi maa can be seen there and if anyone looks at her in that form that person either gets blind/mental or die. This temple is closed during afternoon time. Morning and evening aarti takes place. This temple is the main temple for Hapur people. Special worship is offered during Diwali and Holi. Even during navratri this temple is visited by large number of devotees. Overall it's a neat and clean and very auspicious temple. Jai chandi Maiya
