In the temple here, there is an extremely attractive ┼Ыy─Бma-complexioned deity of D─Б┼лj─л. Revat─л-dev─л is also present here, but is hidden to the side of D─Б┼лj─л behind the door. The confidential reason why she is somewhat concealed is that ┼Ъr─л D─Б┼лj─лтАЩs marriage took place while He was residing in Dv─Бrak─Б and not while He was living in Vraja. Vajran─Бbha established the deity of ┼Ъr─л D─Б┼лj─л. Even though all the famous deities of Vraja left Vraja when the Yavanas (Muslims) invaded, D─Б┼лj─л tricked them and remained here. It is said that this deity was found lying upside down in Kс╣г─лrs─Бgara (Saс╣Еkarс╣гaс╣Зa-kuс╣Зс╕Нa) which is situated on the western side of this temple. Devoted persons took ┼Ъr─л D─Б┼лj─л from the kuс╣Зс╕Нa and built this temple, in which they duly seated and worshipped Him. The priests may have put the deity in the kuс╣Зс╕Нa in fear of attack by the bigot Aurangzeb. D─Б┼лj─лтАЩs birth from the womb of Mother Rohiс╣З─л, eight days before the birth of ┼Ъr─л Kс╣Ыс╣гс╣Зa, took place in Gokula-Mah─Бvana. His name-giving ceremony, the ceremony held for the first shaving of His head and other purificatory rites (saс╣Бsk─Бras) were performed with those of baby Kс╣Ыс╣гс╣Зa. D─Б┼лj─л and Kс╣Ыс╣гс╣Зa would also play and crawl around together. R─лс╕Нh─Б or D─Б┼лj─л-gaon was the pasturing ground for ┼Ъr─л BaladevaтАЩs cows, being a forest area at the time of His manifest pastimes. This place is within Vidrumavana."
