Surya Kund — Attraction in Uttar Pradesh

This is a must visit place in evening in Ayodhya.Most of the trip planners/ travel partners do not include this place in itinerary.It was also not included in ours but we decided to visit this place on our own after searching on google and it was worth it. Suryakund is also known as Suraj kund. It is big kund surrounded by a big park and a mesmerizing light and sound show is held every evening at 7 pm and 8 pm. Plan an outing with family and kids. We went for the laser show at 7.30 on Sunday and came to know that there is one more show at 6.30. You can park your car @Rs. 40 for 4 hours. Alternatively, you can come by e rickshaw till the other side of Railway crossing @20 per person, cross the railway line on foot and again from Railway line to Suryakund @10 per person. You have to do this, as crossing of railway track is probhited by vehicles due to construction of over bridge.

It is a famous Sun temple in Ayodhya and is a must visit place for anyone visiting Ayodhya.

Located on outskirts of Ayodhya the premise has a huge Kund which is full of water all year along.

There is a light and laser show in evening and tickets are priced Rs 30 per person in evening and Rs 10 for all day long as of May 24.

It also has a Lord Sun Temple which is a historical one as it was built by ancestors of Lord Ram.

The premise is neat, clean and well maintained.
