Tanda Falls, located about 14 km south of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh Tanda Falls is a charming, small waterfall—around 30 feet high—nestled in lush greenery with a reservoir (Tanda Dam) built nearly 86 years ago right opposite it. This combination offers a scenic picnic spot with a soothing natural ambiance. ☝🏻Some people come here with food making materials mainly (Baati Chokha) and they trash and make this place dirty, even some men make non veg over here and drink and mishave among themselves with vulgar dance and language. So if planning for family visit, avoid visiting this place ✅ Recommended tips: -Go in monsoon or just after. -Travel in a sturdy vehicle and travel light. -Bring essentials, pack your own food, and take your trash back. -Be vigilant around water, especially if it's deep.

Tanda Falls, located in the village of Pagar near Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, is one of the well-known natural attractions in the Mirzapur district. Situated about 14 kilometers south of Mirzapur city and approximately 80 kilometers from Varanasi, Tanda Falls is a popular picnic spot, especially favored for its scenic beauty and tranquil surroundings.

The waterfall is set amidst the rugged terrain of the Vindhya mountain ranges, providing a picturesque backdrop for visitors seeking a rejuvenating break from urban life. During the monsoon season, the falls come alive dramatically, with the water gushing down the rocky cliffs and creating a captivating spectacle. The vibrant greenery of the surrounding forests and the cool spray from the falls combine to offer a refreshing experience.

One of the standout features of Tanda Falls is its proximity to the Tanda Dam, an 86-year-old reservoir that supplies water to the surrounding areas. The dam itself is opposite the falls and adds to the scenic beauty of the location. Together, they form a peaceful environment perfect for family picnics, photography, and nature walks.

The natural water stream flowing from the falls, coupled with the rich flora and fauna around, creates an atmosphere that nature lovers deeply appreciate. The region's biodiversity becomes particularly vibrant in the post-monsoon and winter months, attracting bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Access to Tanda Falls is fairly straightforward for travelers. The falls are connected by road from Mirzapur, with the last few kilometers accessible via a relatively rough path, requiring visitors to walk or take a local vehicle. Despite the road conditions, the area is popular among locals and tourists, especially during weekends and holidays.

Visitors have noted the serenity of the place, often describing it as a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle of city life. The combination of the flowing water, cool mountain air, and panoramic views of the Vindhyas makes it ideal for relaxation and day-long excursions. However, facilities near the falls are limited, so visitors are advised to carry essentials like water and food.

While the falls offer a spectacular scene mainly during the rainy season, some reviews mention that the water flow can be minimal or even dry up during the summer and winter months. Despite this, the natural beauty and the tranquil setting still make it...

Good place to visit with mates and friends , can feel the nature, but the roads are too bad and dangerous. The government can improvebthe tourism if they will. The first time i went there was 2 years back. At first the road seems good and comcrete one, but as we move forward it was getting worser. The road for the hill top was very slipper and dangerous. Too fatal to visit during monsoon, specially when its raining. You can go there either by bike or by cycle or walk. Going on four wheeler is way too dangerous as the roads are very narrow and there is chances that the car get damaged or fall. But as we reached there, the scene was awesome, its always pleasing to see the waterfall from the top. The water fall was covered with trees and there was place to sit and rest. There was also few view points. There was park and swings for childrens. The security gaurd will ask for entry charge of 20rs and parking of...
