4200 मीटर की ऊंचाई से दिखाई देती है छिपला केदार की अद्भुत खूबसूरती
उत्तराखंड अपनी प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के साथ-साथ भक्ति भाव के लिए भी जाना जाता है, जिस वजह से इस धरती को देवभूमि के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। वैसे उत्तराखंड की सभी जगहें खूबसूरत हैं, लेकिन इनमें से एक खूबसूरत जगह छिपला केदार (Chipla Kedar) है, जोकि पिथौरागढ़ जिले में है। यहां नंदा देवी, त्रिशूल, राजरंभा, पंचाचूली व नंदाखाट आदि हिमालयी चोटियां, मिलम, रालम व नामिक ग्लेशियर तथा विशाल गोल्फ कोर्स, खूबसूरत पहाड़ व घास के मैदान-बुग्याल पिथौरागढ़ की खूबसूरती को बढ़ाते हैं। इसके अलावा पिथौरागढ़ के इर्द-गिर्द चार कोट यानी किले मौजूद हैं, जिन्हें भाटकोट, डूंगरकोट, उदयकोट व ऊंचाकोट के नाम से जाना जाता है। माना जाता है कि कभी यहां सात सरोवर स्थित थे, जिनके सूखने से अब यह क्षेत्र पहाड़ी घाटी के रूप में बदल गया है।
समुद्र तल से लगभग 4200 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर बरम कस्बे से लगभग 50-55 किलोमीटर की कठिन पैदल चढ़ाई के बाद छिपला कोट में यह बुग्याल क्षेत्र प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के साथ देवी-देवताओं का निवास स्थान भी माना जाता है। जिस वजह से भगवान केदार के नाम से इसे छिपला केदार नाम से भी जाना जाता है। माता मैणामाई और पिता कोडिया नाग से जन्म लेने वाले केदार देवता दस भाई-बहन थे। तीन भाइयों में केदार सबसे छोटे थे। उदैण और मुदैण भाई और होकरा देवी, भराड़ी देवी, कोडिगाड़ी देवी, चानुला देवी, नंदा देवी, कालिका देवी, कोकिला देवी बहनें थी। बहनों में कोकिला देवी सबसे छोटी थी। कोकिला देवी, छिपला कोट के हृदय में स्थित गांव कनार में विराजमान हैं। छिपला जात यात्रा कोकिला कनार मंदिर से...
