Dhokaney Falls: You can travel the world a dozen times over and still not see all of the spectacular sites that exist. Some destinations are so popular a large percentage of people travel to see them, other destinations offer just as much ‘wow factor’ without the popularity. . . . . Dhokaney Falls is one such lesser-known places. Located a few kms from Suyalbari, lying on the Bhowali-Almora Highway, this small waterfall offers a breakaway from the all day boring routines. If you're traveling to Nainital or Almora, this place should be on your visit-list. . . . . The place has developed a lot over the past 2 years however, the last few Kms from the waterfall are still not meant for two wheelers. We decided to take the walking trail down to the fall instead of riding a few Kms. KMVN currently manages the site and charges 100 INR per person owing to the beautification of the location. . . . . #travel #wander #explore #dream #discover #uttarakhand #uttarakhandheaven #uttarakhandtourism #dhokaneywaterfall #nainital #almora #nainitaltourism #nature #hike #trails #travelphotography #waterfalls #forest...

For others, it is simply an unexplored treasure. If you find yourself among the second group, you must visit this gem of a waterfall hidden among the pines of Dhokaney Village. The water creates a perfectly temperate pool at the bottom of falls, offering a perfect opportunity for a dip on a hot sunny afternoon.
If you really are visiting during afternoon time, you may find yourself to be the only tourist present at the spot. Talk about finding an unexplored hidden gem!

Read moreA beautiful waterfall. Still untouched by huge tourist crowd. Clean pristine waters stored at the bottom of the fall by a check dam. The road rather the track from the main road to the waterfall is rather steep, go down and come up on it in 1st gear. There is limited parking and the turns are narrow and sharp. The inexperienced hill driver may find it difficult to drive. Recommend parked the car about 500 meters away before the cemented last hairpin bend. Enjoy the walk down to the waterfall, coming back climbing up is strainous for the middle aged, not so fit. Recommend that ladies wear shoes avoid sandles and high heels certainly a no no!! Carry change over clothes if you intend to take a refreshing dip in the cool not so deep waters. Else, just dip your feet in the water and enjoy the view of the waterfall. Entry fee is Rs 100/- which I feel is high for service being provided. Kindly read the terms and conditions written on the ticket and abide by them
