I am an adrenaline junkie and I was visiting Rishikesh for a cousin's wedding in Dec 2016 and I made sure I visited Jumpin Heights. I came here with my father and my brother in law. This place is about 45 mins drive from Rishikesh and we decided to drive ourselves instead of taking the bus from Hotel which leaves at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM. We wanted to leave early and come back early, so we could attend the wedding. The drive to Jumpin heights wasn't that great but it was short drive and totally worth what we were about to do. Be prepared to spend about 3-4 hours if you are doing all 3 activities during december. Wear proper shoes as there is a lot of hiking involved. They don't allow Go Pro's so no need to bring any cameras or Go Pro's.

Upon reaching there you have to pay Rs 100 entry fees, then you are made to watch a short video and sign other disclaimer forms. I decided to do all 3 activities for Rs 8000 as I was not sure if I will get a chance again to come back in the near future. My dad and brother in law also wanted to all 3 activities, but my dad was overage for giant swing and bungee jumping and was allowed to do only flying fox. They don't allow people above 45 years of age for any of the activities but since my dad was fit they allowed him to do flying fox. We were visiting in December so it wasn't crowded at all. We did flying fox first, it's a short hike from reception to flying fox.We wanted to do flying fox in tandem but the combined weight for 3 us was above the safe limit, so me and my dad did in tandem while my brother in law did solo. Flying fox was a good starter for what was about to come soon. Flying fox is really peaceful and relaxing way to enjoy scenery at Rishikesh and the whole experience lasts about 8-10 mins. Next we went for Giant swing, so we went back to the reception picked up our tickets and hiked to the platform about 15 mins hike from reception. They don't allow anybody else inside the platform apart from individuals who are actually doing the activities. So my dad had to wait outside and he was watching from outside.Prior to coming here I had already done Bungee about 8 times but had never tried the giant swing, so I didn't know what to expect, but it was an incredible experience. They bring you down after the giant swing stops swinging and you have to hike back to cafe and reception. Now this hike is quite steep and takes about 15 mins, and this hike back kind of kills all the rush. So another 30 - 40 mins before I reached the platform again for Bungee Jumping. Prior to coming here I had done bungee jumping but from smaller height, so this was an awesome experience jumping from here.Remember to smile for the camera :) Once you hike back to the cafe you can ask the receptionist to play your videos on the big screen and then you have an option of buying the videos if you like it. Since there is only one screen it is quite a chaos getting to see your video. They write a no. on your wrist for video, make sure to tell that no. of the person at the cafe.

The only thing I would change here would be videography and they way are capturing the experience. They don't have many camera angles, so I would request the owner to add more camera angles to capture the whole experience in a better way, plus they still distribute the video on DVD's, this has to change soon. Newer laptop don't even have DVD ROM.

But all in all a great experience, I really enjoyed it and I also got a free T Shirt since I did all 3...

I had one of the scariest and the most liberating experiences of my life at jumpin heights when i made my jump at the giant swing. It was magical and something I'll never forget. This is a perfect place to make your jump. It's safe and they are very professional and experienced in what they do.

There office is located in Mohan Chatti, about 20kms from Rishikesh. Once you enter the office, you are shown a video explaining all the adventure activities that they have. Following this, you can choose the ones you want to do by getting the tickets from the counter. Your basic details are taken, and the weight is measured. You are given a time slot, and asked to put all your belongings in a locker before you go for the jump. The platform where you make the jump is about 200-300m down the road and walk back till there. The people managing the platform are pretty professional and good at what they do. They talk to you and make you feel comfortable. Once you make the jump, they have staff on ground who takes the harness and ropes off of you. Here you can sit for a while you take some time to process what the heck just happened xD. After you've had your little time with yourself you can walk back up. It's again a 200-300m trek but this time through bushes. Once you reach the office, you can look at your videos and get it if you'd like at 900 bucks. Photos are screen grabs of the video itself and costs 100Rs. They also give you a certificate for making the jump successfully (everyone who makes the jump, makes it back successfully, don't worry :p).

They have bungee jump(Rs.3550), Giant Swing(Rs3550): you can do this in pair too, Flying fox(Rs. 1800): two people do this one together I think, etc.

Few tips: • When you're in Rishikesh, all the agents will tell you that it's pretty difficult for you get a slot the same day or the next day, but I'd recommend for you to directly go jumpin heights early morning if you have a convenience of your own and talk to them, they most likely will have slots.

• If someone from your group isn't making a jump, then they can go near the jumping area and record the videos for you from down the road/the jungle(make a video, or take burst images) though you'll need a good camera(Samsung s21 kind, or a good DSLR) as the jumping platform will be far away from you.

Would definitely recommend for everyone to try this place out for your first/next jump.

PS: The photo of platform I clicked is from a OnePlus 7, and that's as close i could get from the road without compromising the picture quality. Also, I have added the video in the end, you can...

Jumping heights safety Safety is utmost priority for them, they have three checks for harness safety done by three different people, i liked that Here is how it goes: Do the booking from their website like 15 days before comfortably because mostly its fully packed, there are hardly any spot registrations. This place is present a bit far away from actual city,in mohanchatti, they also have bus facilities for those who want to avail at extra charges(i think its 500 but not very sure) bust picks you up from tapovan. Also you can go by rented two wheeler. Once you reach mohanchatti(quite far away from tapovan), you will be given a briefing(mostly its a video and you can ask doubts to actual person if you want) They will measure your weight or you have to measure and then they will write it down on your hand and you have to go to jumping platform which is 100m from their office. Before you go,you gave to empty everything you have in the locker provided by them, you can keep your specs, rest everything needs to be removed. Once you reach jumping platform, you have wait until you turn comes up. Harness: Then they will hook you up with harness after checking everything thrice you will be ready to jump. READY TO FLY: Three..Two… one Bungeee They will say this and you have to jump,PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL BE GIVEN ONLY TWO CHANCES AND IF YOU REFUSE YOU HAVE TO GO BACK WITHOUT JUMP (my personal recommendation, jump in very first attempt please) 7.POST JUMP They will pull you down safely and give to a water bottle and cheer you up for the fantastic daring you did, “With a i have got guts” lapel pin. TREKKING BACK This I feel is the toughest part even that the jump(haha😂), the trek to go back again in office is tiring for sure, make use of water bottle that they give and trek up to jumping heights office and collect your certificate RECORDING You can get your recording by giving 900 Rupees and they will provide two videos(one is portrait and other is landscape), they will provide you this in google drive link so no need to carry the pen drive or even keep some space in mobile phone.

Thats it from my side,Thanks for reading it...
