Kalmadi Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located about 12 km from Mussoorie, India. It is a popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

The best time to visit Kalmadi Waterfall is during the monsoon season, when the waterfall is at its most powerful. However, it is also a beautiful sight to behold during the summer months, when the water is calmer and the surrounding vegetation is in full bloom.

To reach Kalmadi Waterfall, visitors can either take a taxi from Mussoorie. The waterfall is located on a steep hill, so visitors should be prepared for a bit of a hike. The hike is well worth it, as the waterfall is truly breathtaking.

Once you reach the waterfall, you can take a dip in the pool at the bottom or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. There are also a few small shops and restaurants located near the waterfall, where you can buy snacks and drinks.

Beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush green forests Stunning views of the surrounding mountains Popular tourist destination, but not overcrowded Good infrastructure, with shops, restaurants, and parking available Suitable for all ages and fitness levels Cons:

Hike to the waterfall can be steep and tiring Waterfall can be crowded during peak season Some shops and restaurants are overpriced Water can be cold, even during the summer months Overall, Kalmadi Waterfall is a beautiful and popular tourist destination. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayas. However, visitors should be prepared for a bit of a hike and the possibility of crowds during peak season.

Here are some tips for visiting Kalmadi Waterfall:

Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing some hiking. Bring a swimsuit if you want to take a dip in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Apply sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring a hat and sunglasses. Drink plenty of water, especially if it is a hot day. Be respectful of the environment and do not litter. I hope this review helps you plan your visit to...

Kimadi Waterfall in itself is not an extraordinary place to visit on a hot summer day. Perhaps it becomes more wide after rains but when I visited there wasn't much water. And you can't approach the water. So if you expect a dip in the pristine hill water you wont get that. But the beauty lies in the Kimadi road that you take from Dehradun to reach the Waterfall. It is really beautiful, peaceful, green, mostly lines with sal forest, and usually not crowded. So it is perfect for those who like mountain drives for a quick get away. The last patch of road before the Waterfall is a little bad as a lot of stoneslides keeps happening in the lambadhar mines area. There is not much around the Waterfall. I followed Google maps and reached without any hassle. But you need to be an experienced driver as some very sharp curves and steep roads will come your way. It almost feels like the top of a mountain. Highly elevated from the Dehradun city. The air is fresh. There was a resort or Homestay that was under construction nearby. One small snacks outlet...

This is a nice natural waterfall. But please keep the cleanliness and culture in mind. Don't throw wrappers here and there, keep them with you and throw them in a dustbin in the city. And secondly, please show decency. A lot of men and boys are going into the waterfall in just their underwear, please don't do this. Wear boxers. It's considered indecent in our culture and leaves a bad impression of tourists on us. And it is obvious but I'm stating it just in case, EVE TEASING is a big NO, it also includes staring at females and making them uncomfortable and insecure just with...

One of the natural waterfalls in Dehradun is Kimadi waterfall, a beautiful cascade of considerable height and width. The descent to the waterfall is a bit challenging and has not been developed by the government authorities, who often spoil the natural beauty of such places by building concrete stairs. If you are adventurous, you can go down and enjoy the bliss of nature by soaking in the water or taking a refreshing bath. You can do this in summers or winters, if you dare ;) The good news for nature lovers is that the place is not yet crowded by tourists and vendors, as it just under a bridge.
