Ramtal Garden and sunrise point — Attraction in Uttarakhand

I understand that the business of hospitality is tough, so I will try not to be too harsh while writing this review. Me and my wife stayed in their room no. 9, on November 2024. Positives of Ramtal Garden and Sunrise Point: Their location in Chakrata allows a tourist to experience a very pretty sunrise. However, I am sure that there are many other places in Chakrata that allow the same, so this is not unique to Ramtal resort. There are a lot of flowers that make the place look prettier. If someone is a fan of loud music, they can set that up for them. Negatives of Ramtal Garden and Sunrise Point: Used linens were given in the room. Unclean and smelly washroom/bathroom. A long wait for getting hot water in the morning or at any time during the day, even in very early winters. In fact, for some reason they turn off their water supplies during the night, which is an inconvenience for anyone trying to use the loo at night. No toiletries - the bathroom here just had a bucket and a big steel jug without a handle (the jug that is usually used in restaurants). They serve breakfast between 9.30 -10.00, not before that, no matter how many requests are made. Many of the staff there can be found smelling of alcohol in the morning. Their tea and breakfast(of which they don't have much) both taste bland. Last but not the least, the floor of the room we were alloted was dirty as hell, with multiple dead bodies of insects/cockroaches.

I would not want myself or any decent person to stay here again, however if the cons I mentioned are not a concern for you then please consider...

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped as well as well designed and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the green garden and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. It felt like a private bugyal here, very clean and greeny, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. I must say the location of the resort is at best place of Chakrata Uttarakhand. If someone wants to visit the mahasu devta temples then they could directly go from here in a easiest way. Our stay at the hotel was for 3 days .. All respect for the owner who does a great job here. Excellent...

Owner is very very rude and highly unprofessional. We stayed for 2 nights (29th march and 30th march). His staff denied us for the bonfire service, but on the same night they arranged it for other guests. We complain the owner about poor service by his staff. Owner himself started foul language and uses threatening statement "chitta jala dunga". They don't have wood for bonfire rather they uses wood for chitta jalane k liye. Such a horrible stay experience at this property owned by highly unprofessional owner “Anupam Tomar”, and his so-called childhood friend and his filthy staff.

Mr. Tomar please give salary to your staff member as she was irritating us by complaining about you. As you can’t be good to your guests, Atleast please kind to your so-called childhood friend who is working without salary and begging good google reviews...
