Shoolin Jungle Resort, Rajaji National Park — Attraction in Uttarakhand

*1/5 Stars - Disappointing and Frightening Experience at shoolin jungle resort "I recently had the misfortune of staying at shoolin jungle resort,a supposedly luxurious jungle resort. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by numerous issues.

Major Concerns: No Signboard: No clear signage made it difficult to locate the resort, and we spent hours searching. No Safety from Wild Animals: No fencing or security measures to protect guests from wildlife, making us feel vulnerable. Poor Construction: Smelly wooden walls, carpets, unrepaired chairs poor condition furniture and roof with running rodents created an unhygienic environment. Limited Dining Options: Only one restaurant with a restrictive menu and poor quality food. Rude Booking Manager: Unprofessional behavior and unhelpful attitude. Overpriced: Not worth the exorbitant rates.too much overpriced for 2 star property Poor Condition of Amenities: restaurant sitting area were poorly maintained. Toiletries not Provided*: Basic essentials like toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo were not provided.

Shoolin, a perfect place to be if you want to stay a place which has a view, quietness except the sound of breeze and birds, a never ending white see of pebble stone, a walk to remember with your family, amazing food and lovly & caring staff. It was our first stay away from home after the Covid outbreak and we were very worried about hygiene and precautions taken by the property. Manish and others at the property ensure and made us comfortable with the measures being taken there, it was really reassuring. We drove from Delhi to Shooline and Manish was in touch with, arranged our complimentary pick up from the near by village where we parked out car. here are my reviews for Food : 5/5 (They feed you alot. starting from morning tea, thn breakfast, lunch, evening high tea and delicious dinner) Room : 5/5 (Cosy and comfortable, soft and nice bed, aesthetic wooden furniture, nice outdoor furniture to soak up the sun. Route : 5/5 Easy but ask for right co-ordinates. Google map shows a route which takes 2-3 hrs additional. Last 10 kms are off-road, we enjoyed it. Staff : Perfect. Always available on call. Price : 5/5 for short stay (1 or 2 nights) 3/5 for long stay (it could be deterrent for people looking for long stay) (we paid 3k per person per night for 2 adult. We stayed for 2 nights. No charges for the kid of 3.5 yrs, complimentary pick and drop from nearby village...

This place was not upto my expectations which I percieved thru their constant advertising videos. Rather I felt cheated being there हाथी के दांत खाने के और, दिखाने के और। There is no reception office over there to solve your issues during your stay. Approach road is so bad, it gave jerks to our spine for the whole life. Thanks to our driver, he could bring us back safely. Moreover , what is the point of sharing the video of the roads after you pay them. This should have been intimated in advance which helps a person to make up one's mind. We were on vacation for our anniversary, did a mistake by choosing this place. Rightly reviewed by many , toilets are just very basic .. everything you have to ask for. Cottages also basic with least required facilities.. I felt cheated and disgusted. Best part was food, not very royal, not the delicacies of paudi garwal was served but simple , fresh, homemade food was served by the boys, in a same manner, same food. Boys are good, Manoj, Mukesh and Anil, three of them , well behaved.ready to serve with minimum resources. I request the owner or the care taker to improve and provide more facilities which a person requires on vacation outdoors. Boys require further training and grooming as regards hospitality is concerned. No internet facility, which I wasn't knowing.. Any ways...Think twice, explore twice before...
