Disappointed, the VERY PRINCIPE OF Jalaram’s practice of helping and feeding all alike of poor & rich is NOT PRACTICE ANYMORE in Jalaram’s Own House/ Mindir in Virpur. Poor people are NOT Allowed in the Mindir, leave feeding / or giving Prasad to them under Jalaram’s Principe.

In my recent visit to Virpur, Poor person came to me help so he can feed his mother. I asked him why does he bring his mother in Mindir for Pradas as it Lunch Time. He said as they are poor they will not be allowed in Mindir? I could not believe I took the Poor Person in the Mindir for Prasad / food as it lunch time and to my Horror, I was allowed in BUT Poor Person was OPENLY DENIED & THROWN OUT OF MINDIR in front of me while I stood there in total shock of what I was witnessing, Shocking??

I told man of mindir, I do not need food, feed this poor person and HE SAID THE PRESENT PERSON RUNNING has Strict Instruction the Poor People / Beggars are not be allowed in Mindir?? Needless to say I left with the man

THIS IS OPEN INSULT TO JALARAM & as JALARAM’S DAUGHTER I STRONGLY and OPENLY OBJECT THIS PRACTICE – JALARAM’S PRINCIPLE OF ALL WELCOMING IRREVANT OF CASTE, RICH OR POOR MUST BE FOLLOWED -

So let us Jalaram’s Devotees See Bapa’s Principle followed in his own House in Virpur Mindir. ---EMPHASIS GIVEN:-- NO ONE Including the PRESENT PERSON RUNNING / HEAD OF MINDIR has any FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS to OVER RULE JALARAM’S PRINCIPLE. Further the Present Person does not have any Fundament Rights to Deny any Devotees from giving monies to Mindir under their MANTA/S.

We as Devotees are willing Fund Poor People Food / Prasad and therefore see no reason/s why present person is not Take any Monies trying to RICH but Yet ACTING IN Extremely POOR by denying the Jalaram’s Devotees who are poor????

Once again as Devotee and Daughter of Jalaram I am and I am sure many other Devotee would Object this OPEN Exercise of Discrimination in Jalaram’s own Birth Place and own House...

Jalaram was a Hindu saint from Gujarat, India. He was born in Virpur, Rajkot district, Gujarat, India, on 4 November 1799, which is the 7th day Krishna Paksha of Kartik month on the Hindu calendar VS year 1856, one week after the Hindu festival of Diwali. His father was Pradhan Thakkar and his mother was Rajbai Thakkar, who belonged to Lohana, a merchant clan. He was a devotee of the Hindu god Rama. Numerous temples across the world have been built in his name. The main shrine of Jalaram Bapa is located at Virpur. The shrine is actually the housing complex where Jalaram lived during his lifetime. The shrine houses the belongings of Jalaram and the deities of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuman worshipped by him. It also has on display the Jholi and Danda said to be given to him by God, however the main attraction is the portrait of Jalaram Bapa. There is also a black and white photo of Jalaram Bapa, taken one year before his death. Millions of followers visit Virpur on the anniversary of Jalaram Bapa's birth, which is celebrated as Jalaram Jayanti.on the seventh day of the bright fortnight in the Hindu calendar month on Kartika. There are many guest houses in Virpur to accommodate tourists and pilgrims. Money is not accepted at the Jalaram Bapa temple. Some Dharamshalas serve food to visitors free of cost and without taking a donation. The nearest towns are Gondal, Jetpur and Dhoraji. The nearest airport...

સંત શ્રી જલારામબાપાનો જન્મ ઇ.સ. વિક્રમ સંવત ૧૮૫૬ની કારતક સુદ સાતમે લોહાણા સમાજના ઠક્કર કુળમાં થયો હતો. તે ભગવાન રામના ભક્ત હતા.

જલારામ બાપાને ગૃહસ્થ જીવન કે પોતાના પિતાનો વ્યવસાય સ્વીકરારવામાં કોઈ રસ નહોતો. તેઓ હંમેશા યાત્રાળુઓ, સંતો અને સાધુઓની સેવામાં રોકાયેલા રહેતા. તેઓ પોતાના પિતાથી છૂટા થઈ ગયા અને તેમના કાકા વાલજીભાઈએ યુવાન જલારામ અને તેમની માતાને પોતાને ઘેર રહેવા સૂચવ્યું.

૧૮૧૬ની સાલમાં ૧૬ વર્ષની ઊંમરે તેમના લગ્ન આટકોટના પ્રાગજીભાઈ ઠક્કરની પુત્રી વીરબાઈ સાથે કરવામાં આવ્યાં. વીરબાઈ પણ ધાર્મિક અને સંતઆત્મા હતા આથી તેમણે પણ જલારામ બાપા સાથે સંસારીવૃત્તિઓથી વિરક્ત રહી ગરીબો અને જરૂરિયાતમંદોની સેવાના કાર્યમાં ઝંપલાવી દીધું. વીસ વર્ષની વયે જલારામે આયોધ્યા, કાશી અને બદ્રીનાથની જાત્રાએ જવાનું નક્કી કર્યું ત્યારે પત્નિ વીરબાઈ પણ તેમની સાથે જોડાયા.

૧૮ વર્ષની ઉંમરે તેઓ ગુજરાતના ફતેહપુરના ભોજા ભગતના અનુયાયી બન્યા. ભોજા ભગતે તેમને "ગુરુ મંત્ર", માળા અને શ્રી રામનું નામ આપ્યું. તેમના ગુરુના આશીર્વાદથી તેમણે 'સદાવ્રત'ની શરૂઆત કરી. સદાવ્રત એ એવું સ્થળ છે કે જ્યાં સાધુ-સંતો અને જરૂરિયાતમંદ લોકોને વર્ષના બારે મહિના અને ૨૪ કલાક ભોજનની વ્યવસ્થા આપવામાં આવે.

એક દિવસ એક સાધુ ત્યાં આવ્યાં અને તેમને રામની મૂર્તિ આપી અને ભવિષ્ય વાણી કરી કે નજીકના ભવિષ્યમાં હનુમાનજી ત્યાં આવશે. જલારામે તે રામની મૂર્તિની ત્યાં પરિવારના ભગવાન તરીકે સ્થાપના કરી અને તેના થોડા દિવસ બાદ જમીનમાંથી સ્વયંભૂ હનુમાનની મૂર્તિ મળી આવી. આ સાથે ત્યાં સીતા અને લક્ષમણની મૂર્તિઓ પણ સ્થાપિત કરવામાં આવી છે. આ સ્થળેથી કોઈ પણ ભોજન લીધા સિવાય પાછું નથી જતું. આ બધુ કાર્ય જલારામે શરૂઆતના વર્ષોમાં પોતાની પત્ની વીરબાઈ માના સહયોગથી અને પછી એકલે હાથે સંભાળ્યું. બાદના વર્ષોમાં ગામવાળાઓએ પણ આ સેવાના કાર્યમાં સંત જલારામને સહયોગ આપ્યો. એમ માનવામાં આવે છે કે તેમની પાસે રહેલા ચમત્કારી અક્ષયપાત્રને કારણે અન્નની કદી ખોટ થતી નહીં.[૩] ત્યાર બાદ થોડા સમયમાં એક અવતારી પુરુષ તરીકે તેમની ખ્યાતિ પ્રસરી. વીરપુર આવતા દરેક વ્યક્તિને નાતજાત કે ધર્મના ભેદ વગર બાપા દ્વારા ભોજન અપાતું. આજે પણ ગુજરાતના વીરપુરમાં ભોજન આપવાની આ પરંપરા ચાલુ છે.

એક સમયે હરજી નામના એક દરજી તેમની પાસે પિતાના પેટના દરદની ફરિયાદ લઈને ઈલાજ માટે આવ્યા. જલારામે તેમના માટે પ્રભુ પાસે પ્રાર્થના કરી અને તેમનું દર્દ શમી ગયું. આમ થતા તેઓ સંત જલારામના ચરણે પડી ગયા અને તેમને "બાપા" કહી સંબોધ્યા. ત્યારથી તેમનું નામ જલારામ બાપા પડી ગયું.[૪] આ ઘટના પછી લોકો તેમની પાસે પોતાની વ્યાધિઓના ઇલાજ માટે અને અન્ય દુઃખો લઈને આવવા લાગ્યાં. જલારામ બાપા ભગવાન રામ પાસે તેમના માટે પ્રાર્થના કરતા અને લોકોનાં દુઃખ દૂર થઈ જતાં. હિંદુ તેમજ મુસલમાન બંને ધર્મના લોકો તેમના અનુયાયીઓ બન્યા. ૧૮૨૨માં જમાલ નામના એક મુસલમાન વ્યાપારીનો પુત્ર બિમાર પડ્યો, દાક્તરો-હકીમોએ તેના સાજા થવાની આશા મૂકી દીધી હતી. તે સમયે હરજીએ જમાલને પોતાને મળેલા પરચાની વાત કરી. તે સમયે જમાલે પ્રાર્થના કરી કે જો તેમનો પુત્ર સાજો થઈ જશે તો તેઓ જલારામ બાપાના સદાવ્રતમાં ૪૦ મણ અનાજ દાન કરશે. તેમનો પુત્ર સાજો થતા જમાલ ગાડું ભરીને અનાજ લઈને જલારામ બાપાને મળવા ગયા અને કહ્યું "જલા સો અલ્લાહ".

એક સમયે સ્વયં ભગવાન એક વૃદ્ધ સંતનું રૂપ લઈને આવ્યાં અને કહ્યું કે તેમની સેવા માટે જલારામે પોતાની પત્ની વીરબાઈ મા તેમને દાન કરી દેવી. જલારામે વીરબાઈ સાથે મસલત કરી અને તેમની રજા મળતા તેમણે વીરબાઈને સંતની સેવા માટે મોકલી આપ્યાં. પણ અમુક અંતર ચાલીને જંગલમાં પહોંચતા સંતે વીરબાઈ માને ત્યાં થોભીને રાહ જોવાનું કહ્યું. તેણીએ ત્યાં રાહ જોઈ પણ તે સંત પાછા ન આવ્યા. તેથી ઉલટું આકાશવાણી થઈ કે આ તો માત્ર દંપતિની મહેમાનગતિ ચકાસવાની પરીક્ષા હતી. તે સંત ગયા તે પહેલા તેઓ વીરબાઈ મા પાસે એક દંડો અને ઝોળી મૂકતાં ગયાં હતાં. વીરબાઈ મા ઘરે આવ્યાં અને જલારામબાપાને આકાશવાણી, દંડા અને ઝોળીની વાત કરી. આ દંડો અને ઝોળી આજે પણ વીરપુરમાં જોઈ શકાય છે. તેને કાચની પેટીમાં પ્રદર્શન...
