This Cinchona plantation is continuing since British Period. The then British Administration had started here Cinchona plantation for making Quinine to prevent Malaria. The Climate and the Temperature and Moist atmosphere existing here at Ahaldara is suitable for Cinchona plantation. Since then, Cinchona plantation is continuing.. and became famous for making Quinine in India.
