Bankura Deer Park offers a tranquil escape into nature, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the serenity of lush greenery and the graceful presence of deer. Nestled in the heart of Bankura, this park showcases a harmonious blend of natural beauty and wildlife conservation. The expansive grounds provide a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll, with well-maintained pathways winding through the park. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the deer enclosure, where one can observe these elegant creatures in their natural habitat. The park's thoughtful design allows for a close yet respectful encounter with the deer, creating a unique and educational experience for visitors of all ages. The park's serene ambiance is complemented by amenities such as seating areas and shaded spots, making it an ideal destination for a family outing or a peaceful solo retreat. While the park primarily focuses on deer conservation, it also serves as a haven for various bird species, adding an extra layer of biodiversity to the environment. Overall, Bankura Deer Park stands as a testament to the region's commitment to preserving its natural heritage. Banpukuria Deer Park is a small park having some spotted deer inside a fenced area. But if you are visiting the park coming from Mukutmanipur, the journey makes the visit worthy. We went in the rainy season, but it was a sunny day when we visited the Deer Park. The journey on a motor van on the earth dam of Kangsabati barrage was beautiful. That was a time of flood in South Bengal, and the reservoir was full of its capacity. We crossed the reservoir on a motor boat to reach the Banpukuria Forest. The journey was amazing. Then a long walk on a metaled path through the jungle will take you to the park. The Deer Park as I feel is really enjoyable specially for the children. The spot is accessible easily by boat and Engine Van/Car after crossing the Kangsabati Dam from Mukutmonipur. The journey of 2 Kms from other side of the Dam under Ranibandh Block is actually through the forest area and enjoyable in the chill winter afternoon. The owner of the Van plays the role of tour guide. There are very good number of beautiful Deer as we watched in the Park and visitors have fair chance to watch them at the afternoon time.Rate of Engine Van may vary depending the flow of visitors.

On reaching the mukutmanipur dam road we had to take a boat ride to this deer park. The charge should have been less but due to corona er have to reserve the boat by 500 for 4 people and reach there. But after seeing the scenic beauty the amount seemed to be worth it. The place was situated like an island in the midst of the two rivers meeting Kasai and Murti. The serenity was awesome with cool breeze and bright sunlight. There was a 2km way to the deer park hence we took a toto which again took 240 rupees and if people are more then 30 rupees each. It seemed to be high but after seeing the deers in the park roaming and eating leaves from our hand all seemed to be of worth. The toto tide between the village was also great. The fresh air seriously revived our mind and body which was frustrated due to the 7 months of homestay due to Covid19. This place is a must visit guys.
