Rock Garden which is also renowned as Barbotey rock garden is adjourned by an edict of rocks and rock cuttings which is sprinkled by cascading waterfalls speaks the brilliance of nature. Before you step up to understand the phenomenon the distance you will travel to reach down will tell you everything about scenic brilliance.

While driving down those bends the picturesque valley you will witness will force you to step out from your car to invest some time in photo

The moment you will enter the gate of Rock Garden you will witness lines of small stall selling different cultural souvenirs and while entering those sharp edges of rock you will witness will mesmerise your mind. Those terraces sitting arrangement and sprawling gardens would crave your mind to lure for more and as you will descend closer to witness colossal structures of rock the gentle springs that gushes from an adulating height would command your eternal reverie.

To find the source of that adulating waterfalls traveller would require walking through the bamboo bridge and then need to climb up those steep walks of rock. Although an entire journey could be weary but the moment you will reach the pinnacle the view of the surroundings will take your breath away.

Manicured lawns, spacious gardens, large circular platform, scintillating fountain and perfect sitting slides will ask you to rest for some moment until you walk down to revere the glory of Ganga Maya Park which is dominated by a section of small bridges built over tranquil streams. Tourist attractions is less due to it not maintain properly. Road conditions are pathetic 😑. Boating 🚢 started. Although maintenance work have already started . Per person ticket 🎟 is Rs.20 and for parking you have to pay Rs.20 from ticket counter in the entrance gate.There is no extra charges for photography. Natural beauty is the main attraction for tourists. Nature is also beautiful 😍 ❤ here. Fresh water coming from Natural fountain ⛲. Any one can swim here. Sitting arrangements also very good here. If you go total area in this park you have to burn 🔥 so many calories due its hilly roads.You can easily take so many pictures here. Food stalls are also available 😋 here but price is more costly than normal. Momo chowmin cold drinks 🍸 beer 🍺 chips 🍟 also available here but not lunch items. View of darjeeling city is also excellent 👌. Boating 🚢 have started, ticket Rs.50 per person for 30 minutes. This is very attractive here. You can spend more than one hour in this park but not too much. If park maintain properly it looks good 👍but due to bad maintenance tourist attractions faded now. Nothing special is that. It's right out of some picture book, beautiful place, not much crowded. it's not a part of the seven destinations the taxi people will cover, you need to speak to your cab driver specifically to take you to this place. The road however leading you to this place is pathetic and in some places all washed away because of land slides and rains (we visited in the rainy season). But the place is unbelievably beautiful and you will take tons of pictures out here. This could have been better maintained, the toilets are not clean and boating was not going on when we visited. There are a few shops to sit and munch and enjoy the place. It is a big park and you should take time, it will be better to come in the first half. This is a little far ahead of the rock garden, so you can visit this first and then while going back see rock garden, however i doubt you are going to like it as much as Gangamaya park.
