I had a peaceful and enriching experience visiting Geden Tharpa Choling Monastery Situated in a calm and scenic location, the monastery is a beautiful place to spend some quiet time. The architecture and surroundings reflect traditional Buddhist culture, and the atmosphere inside is very serene.

It’s not just a tourist spot but also a spiritual center where one can feel inner peace. The monks are very humble and welcoming, and they maintain the monastery with great care. The prayer halls, colorful paintings, and the overall environment give a deep sense of calmness and positivity.

If you are in Kalimpong, this monastery is definitely worth a visit, both for its religious significance and for the peaceful...

Geden Tharpa Choling Monastery is as peaceful and serene as most monasteries in Himalayas. It's not far from Kalimpong main market. However, usually one would need to go by a car. What sets it apart is that it houses a museum that was established in 1922. Another beautiful monastery in Kalimpong. This is a Must visit as well. We could not go inside as it was closed that day and hour, but the outside view is so tremendously beautiful and awestruck us that we sat there for the view and amazingly peaceful vibrations. Visiting monasteries have become my favourite thing post these two (Durpin) monasteries visit. The beauty of this monastery is the huge Buddha statue in Gold facing the city. It's amazing. There is also a museum in...
