In Chaitanya dev's time Jagadish Mishra being a devotee of lord can't go to Puri dham with other devotee.As he became blind as well as old.Inabilty of going Puri Dham to see lord with other devotee he became very sad,ardently crying and decided give up hi life.On that night in sleeping lord appeared to him and told him that next morning while he took bath in river Ganges a wooden log will come and he has to took that log and will have to the carpenter ,who live in the next village near of his area ,and the carpenter was a leprocy patient it's also fortel by God. Lord also told that gave him the log to carve my deity and after completing you installed my deity and worship me as the lord of Nilachal Dham (Jagannath dham, Puri) as As lord fortold, a big log floating come an touch the body of Jagadish Ganguly while he was bathing in river Ganges.upon touching the log he regain his eyesight.by the help of villagers he take the lig near the carpenter. But the carpenter telling as a leprosy patient he couldn't but Jagadish Ganguly assured him that only he could as it was lord's decision. After that that carpenter started carving,while he started his work is leprosy disease cured gradually.after curving completed Jagadish Ganguly with some devotee installed lord's transcendental form of there lord Jagannath Balavadra and Subhadra .a d performed their service sincerely and blissfully. From that day today also the worship is still being continued .and here many more lila performed by the lord with devotee which also being continued today also. Special ceromony is at the time of Snan yatra and Rathayata... and the other times also lord give his darshan to devotee .Here a shiv temple also situated in this area and Simantini mata (maa mahamaya)temple also situated just beside the other side of the pond which is near the Jagannath temple .It's a life long opportunity to get darshan of lord Jagannath dev and his temple.
