Not a highly recommended spot for bike tourers. Highly dangerous. We went there on our bike after reading review about this place. But I would recommend to stay away from this spot if you want to travel with your bike and if you love your life and your family.
Why I am discouraging from coming here on bike: At first, the entry point is very dubious and it starts from a narrow slum street. You'd never guess the entry point from there. We had to ask help from local people. People around there are very helpful. Very dangerous path. At some spots the hill is too steep, like almost 60° - 70° steep. At some spots half of the path is missing. Overall a very dangerous path. The path goes through a slum. So, you might feel awkward bcz you might be going through someone's varanda. Although people there were very nice. 4.The view from top is not something too much fantastic. It's just an artificial spot made with some bamboo and some small plants. Don't fall for the Buddha Statue in the review photos. That statue is very small, like 6 feet or 7 feet.
You can climb up to the spot on your feet. But that's also worthless. You better see some other spot. Don't try to climb up the hill with your bike. I'm not going back...
Read moreIt's a wonderful experience to be here. It won't take much of a toil climbing this place for healthy, young people. People usually from around Jaigaon come here frequently to get some fresh air. Also if you want to come here, in case you're healthy and can do a little bit of climbing up the hill, please use your own feet cause' the auto driver charges Rs. 150 for going either just up the hill or coming down from the bus stand. It's peaceful here and also a splendid view to see how the hills meet the plains. The last time I went there, i.e. 8 November, the 'I LOVE JAIGAON' spot was under construction. Hopefully, it's working now. Also, what excites you about being here is you're just a few metres away from Bhutan. This Gairigaon view point here, it just touches Bhutan, so yeah like being in two countries at the...
