Mangaldeep Eco Tourism Park — Attraction in West Bengal

If you are looking for a popular picnic spot that to in the middle of river then yes this place should be your prior choice .In appropriate, it is an island situated on river hooghly( a part of Ganga). An eco tourism park developed on this beautiful island. Wonderful landscapes, pleasant weather, cool breeze etc just made this place a perfect tourist cum picnic spot. In surrounding, local people very much engaged with their business interest. Yes,Boat ferry service is available here. You will have to spend Rs30/- for one way ride. One thing that can be bothered that you might waited long for ferry to come from other side.Authority runs by local people collects revenues on group picnics. They provide facilities of table,chairs,music etc for them.Arrangements of cooking and serving is also available here.Parking facilities, Snacks(food stalls) also available here.

** Train route available from Sealdah station,you will need to come up to railway station named Payaradanga Halt.Then,catch TOTO or Auto (Rs.10 to 15/_ charged)to reach at Mangaldeep ghat.

Small park area on the Mangaldeep river island in the middle of Hugli river. Good place to have picnic with friends and/or family. Has ample green space within the park premises. Kids can play around on the swings and and slips spread across. Given its location, the place is accessible only by ferry crossing from the left riverbank, which surely adds to the thrill of reaching a place in the middle of river. Last but not the least, entry fees is a reasonable 30 rs per head.

However, despite having potential for a prime picnic spot, the place lacks overall maintenence. First of all, there is a lack of adequately maintained public toilets, the slides are worn off cement at places, monuments of animals such as lion, snakes, and giraffes are broken at places, and both lack of dustbin and awarness of people has resulted in strewn litter here and there.

Overall, still a nice place to hang out (and in the middle of the river!). Need a bit upgradation and maintanenece though. Still, a recommended short visit. If not only for the park, then the calming riverside environment is...

This a place nearer to earth. I have visited this place in 2020 I had a amazing time here. This a perfect place for picnic with family or with friends. This place is such wide to park your vehicles specifically buses and so on. It's based on a vast ground and around this place always gaurds are on duty. Play ground has a cool park for kids, including rides and akides, seasaw etc. Very natural place to visit. And the amazing fact about this place is here a facility of boating a small island in placed over the river hoogly, so you can enjoy a boat ride here also.
