Motijheel Park is the only total tourist spot of Murshidabad catering to the tourism needs of all age groups. It is basically a humble attempt to promote tourism in historically famous heritage town Murshidabad, by adding another tourist spot to the number of many other heritage or historical tourist spots that already exist here.

This tourist spot, however is a modern and contemporary one designed to satiate the diverse tastes and flavors of tourism, of the tourists at a very competitive and affordable cost.

The exclusivity of Motijheel Park is in its unique blend of vividly green eco-friendly ambiance with a fine flavor of Murshidabad's Nawabi History and a smooth touch of amusement items like Boating, Toy Train, SeeSaws, Swings etc. This tourist spot, however is a modern and contemporary one designed to satiate the diverse tastes and flavors of tourism, of the tourists at a very competitive and affordable cost. An initiative by a group of Wonderlust Travel Professionals, Designed by Bengal Tourism, an easy Tour & Memorable Holiday option to offer you well planned all-inclusive budget holiday packages to explore & experience the Sea & Beaches, the Mountains & Hills, the Jungles & Forests, the Heritages, the Villages, the rich Cultures & Rituals, the famed Bengal Cuisine that are to be found only in Bengal.

Come visit & explore Bengal, the most Culturally and Ethnically diverse, the first Capital in the State of India, the land of the erstwhile Zamindars & Nawabs! The region with the most listed and recorded Heritage buildings but still creating space for Modern architecture wonders. Where Rustic village life co-exists besides Modern metropolis high rises.

HOW TO REACH

Berahampur railway station is the nearest Junction railway station near Murshidabad. The N.S.C. Bose International Airport is the nearest airport at Kolkata from where Murshidabad is 195 kms by road. Regular bus services are available from various district towns of Kolkata like Burdwan, Rampurhat, Suri, Bolpur, Malda, Krishnagar and Durgapur. Some popular trains that travel to Murshidabad are the Hazarduari Express, Dhanadhanye Express, Lalgola Express and Bhagirathi Express.

A beautyfully decorated and well organized park surrounding a oxbow lake of river the Ganges. Good place for kids. Good historical representation through light and sound show. The park is maintained by govt. Of West Bengal tourism Dept.

The area had been developed by WBTDC around the ruins of Ghaseti begum's palace ruins. The place is huge and lot's of things to cover including a light and sound show. If you have seniors try to book a cart as it's too huge to walk. It's really well maintained with not even a single paper lying around. Although the bathroom was a disaster. I hope govt updates the important piece in a tourist destination. otherwise the look and feel is world class compared to...

Motijheel, nestled in the cultural tapestry of Murshidabad, West Bengal, is a picturesque lake that captivates visitors with its serene beauty and historical significance. My visit to this tranquil oasis left me enchanted, providing a welcome respite amidst the rich historical landmarks that surround it.

The pristine expanse of Motijheel is adorned with lotus flowers, creating a serene and calming atmosphere. As I strolled along the well-maintained pathways encircling the lake, the gentle rustling of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds formed a soothing symphony. The greenery that envelops the lake contributes to a sense of tranquility, making it an ideal spot for leisurely walks and quiet contemplation.

Motijheel's charm is heightened by the presence of ancient structures along its banks, including the Katra Mosque and the Nawab Bari, lending a historical backdrop to the natural beauty. The strategically placed seating areas offer visitors the perfect vantage points to appreciate both the architectural marvels and the scenic landscape.

Boat rides on the lake provide an enchanting perspective, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the idyllic surroundings. However, to further enhance the experience, the provision of more recreational activities or informational boards detailing the history of Motijheel and its surrounding landmarks would be valuable.

The well-preserved ecosystem around Motijheel reflects the commitment to maintaining its natural beauty. Clean and well-manicured gardens contribute to the overall aesthetic appeal, making it an inviting destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

In conclusion, Motijheel is a hidden gem in West Bengal, offering a harmonious blend of nature and history. Its serene waters and verdant surroundings provide a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether one seeks historical exploration or simply a quiet moment of reflection, Motijheel stands as a testament to the timeless beauty that graces the landscapes of...

Motijheel Park, located in Murshidabad, is a serene escape that beautifully blends nature with history. The park features a picturesque crescent-shaped lake surrounded by well-maintained gardens, statues, and fountains, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and leisurely strolls. Visitors often appreciate the peaceful ambiance, which is perfect for families and individuals seeking a tranquil environment. However, despite its charm, the park requires attention to cleanliness. Many reviews highlight that while the overall layout is impressive, litter and maintenance issues detract from its beauty. The presence of historical elements adds to its allure, but the lack of proper upkeep can diminish the experience for visitors. In addition to the scenic views, amenities like golf carts for transportation within the park enhance accessibility. Yet, some users have noted that these services could be improved, as they sometimes feel outdated or insufficient. Overall, Motijheel Park is a delightful destination that offers a peaceful retreat but would greatly benefit from enhanced cleanliness and maintenance efforts to elevate the visitor experience further. With proper care, it could become a top-tier attraction in West Bengal.
