I don't think it's a picnic area.. the overall size is not so big the entrance part is somewhat for families and children but the rest are for couple entry tickets are 25 per head for 3hrs (2hrs according to the board but ignore).. lack of big trees so sun may bother but full of greenery.. food and drink not allowed inside but the park cafe opposite the road is satisfactory .. washroom is dirty.. lastly, try to avoid taking transport from the front gate walk 1 minute then deal with it if possible

Had the best experience with my family. It's a great park with almost everything you need with all the facilities. Great if you are solo or with family, child friendly as well. I will recommend you to visit Satabdi Park at 3 or 4 P.M. I will totally recommend you to visit with your family.
