Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary — Attraction in West Bengal

A peaceful and less-crowded sanctuary located close to Darjeeling. The place is rich in biodiversity and perfect for bird watchers and nature lovers. I visited recently and was fortunate to spot several beautiful and rare bird species. The forest is dense, serene, and offers great views of the surrounding hills.

The sanctuary is also home to some fascinating flora and fauna, and the cool, misty weather adds to the charm. It’s a good idea to go with a local guide if you’re interested in birding or wildlife photography. The approach road is a bit narrow and rough in places, but the experience is totally worth it.

Very good place. Natural beauty is very good.I personaly suggest everybody should come and enjoy this place. Kanchonjongha is very clear and close to see if weather is good. But When you climb up in the mountain with car no body check out. When you leave moutain and climb down then A Meletary check Post there. They want money around 150 per head if you say you are not staying there. And if you say that you are staying there they charge 400 hundread for your four wheeler car and also want per head many money. I suggest you that you say you are not staying there. Wildlife Sanctuary inside Mountains... A Great combination. Situated in North Bengal. Most people went there during there visit to Chatakpur Eco Village. This place is a paradise for Bird Watchers. After entering this Sanctuary, you can hear the continuous sounds of chirping from different types of birds. Though Cheetah or some other animals are present here, but their sightings are very rare.
