Arulmigu Vanabadrakaliamman Kovil is on the way to Thekkampatty Road in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore district. From Coimbatore railway station is will be 45kms and from Mettupalayam it is 6 kms. Temple is situated near the Western Ghats, and Bhavani water is running nearby. Believed to have been built before 1000 years and much beyond such that the period of construction is unknown. As per the legends, the temple is connected to Maghisasuran vadam and also aravalli & sooravalli vadam. A big maghisasuran statue and a Bheeman statue are in front of the temple. A big Rajagopuram is being constructed. We need to first visit the Vinayar temple near the river. Either take bath or wash your legs & hands before worshiping Lord Vinayagar. Then visit the amman temple. You can either go via common free darshan or Rs.20 or Rs.50 darshan. Each takes you near to the amman sannidhi. The temple is open from 6 to 8 pm. On amavasya days from 4.30 and 8.30 pm. The amman is very powerful, and it is believed that whatever you wish, she will definitely help. For this, one needs to buy salt and milage and make a wish and round the Kuhdam 3 times by dropping the salt and milagu. In the end, we need to worship magisauran, Bheeman, and Karuppannaswamy statues. Can also take a parisal trip in the Bhavani river, but a risky one. The temple is very famous for its annual Kundam festival where lakhs of people will visit. Also, on sundays, many goats will be offered to the temple. On an estimated basis, more than 15k goats are offered on an annual basis.

Vana Badrakaliamman Temple is a serene and powerful place of worship. The atmosphere is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and the deity’s energy is truly divine. The temple is well-maintained, and the poojas are conducted with devotion. Visiting on Tuesdays or Fridays makes the experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking spiritual solace, protection, and a sense of inner calm. A must-visit for devotees and travelers alike! 🙏
