Interesting, rocky shore line with a thin stretch of sand. About 45 mins drive from Chennai centre. The curved road located right next to the beach provides excellent photography opportunities especially during the sunset.

No standard food outlets are available on or near the beach. There are some small, make - do food stalls there (just 2 or 3 stalls) such as the ones you would find in the marina beach or the Elliot's beach but I am not sure about the hygiene or quality of the food. Bottom line - don't go there on an empty stomach with an anticipation that you could get something to eat there.

Worth a visit if you could tolerate the strong stench as it is amidst fishing boats. Personally, I could stay here for no more than 20 mins given the odour, but nonetheless couldn't stop recommending this place for atleast an one time visit because of its...

1986 - 1989...those were the time i spent time on this beach as a kid...the happiest times of all in my life...couldn't forget the joy even for a moment, the silence before the waves , the air the beach breathes in and out still lingers in my ears...you wont see much vehicles passing except 56H pallavan bus...me n my sister played hard and built many castles over there...that beach was our playground...we were friends with many crabs and shells...the distance between road and beach is very far..you wont believe the difference if i had a picture of it...it was pristine without any rocks or garbage as its now...the clear white sand and pure water...it was a heaven...i think i wont forget it till my death ...i will visit it once...

We went quite late in the evening. The entrance to the rock platform kind of thing that projects into the sea was blocked. It was quite desolate except for one small group of men and women sitting over the rocks giving us confidence that we may do so as well. But as we arrived, they to left. The view from over the rocks is blissful as you see the waves crashing onto the concrete pillars and the water doing a sprightly bounce. However in a short time trucks started crowding the rock wall completely cutting our view to the road, playing loud music and quarreling louder. So we had to leave for both security reasons and the possibility of facing heavy truck traffic if we were to...

Quiet Beach Escape with Industrial Charm This beach offers a serene escape from the city bustle, but be prepared for a bit of a commute. While the beach itself isn't the cleanest, there's plenty of space to relax and enjoy the tranquility. The presence of the Chennai port adds a unique industrial character, with large trucks passing by and some intriguing iron structures scattered around. For travelers seeking a peaceful getaway, this beach can be a hidden gem, though keep in mind it's a 15-minute walk from Wimco Nagar depot station.

A tiny beach at the junction of manali high road and ennore express road. It has a rock pier extends like upto 100 meters into the sea where you can walk. It's an usual hangout place for the people around this area. Its not crowded always so it is fairly clean. There is no seperate parking lots available, you can park on the roadside. There is no security watching you so you're on your own in the waters.
