Beautiful lake with water through out the year. Last year (May 2017), while the whole water bodies are dried and water scarcity and drought was declared, yet the lake remains to the maximum capacity. But it is of "No Use" because of contaminants due to sewage disposal. The Government Authorities never learnt lesson from this. No rectification or preventive measure for water conservation carried out. ATTITUDE: The attitude of Government Servant("Servant" - Real meaning has no connection with this regard - Corrupt to the Core and love to destroy anything for their Benefit - appropriate meaning I hope so) allowing to depreciate Land, water, Air causes everyone to suffer in near future, that too at the earliest. Every official is blindfolded as it seems, the Govt. Job is Gift of God and they are blessed with a Power to Destroy the NATURE and their Next Generations Won't Need India as they are going to migrate to Foreign Nations with their Kid. What else can you expect from this kind of attitude Government.... They are in hurry in saving Money to leave India and settle somewhere. What a duty bound Government Servants and the Fate of India? 1.What are the bird's are there in korattur lake ? Flamingo,wild duck, pelican, greay head swamphen, muniya,Egrets,the purple heron, and etc..
Which sessions the bird's comes ? June to September.
Which time is better view of bird's? Morning and evening.
And main thing save the nature save bird's life not only bird's save the all thing who are and all bound with nature.

Beautiful place, big lake located inside the city. Were we can see some birds travel all long to build up their nest here, however poor maintains by the Chennai corporation, in 2016 govt has allocated around 5 crore to clean up korattur & rettari lake and inter connecting channel also make some big developments like boating, walking aside the lake etc but their is no such development happening, local PPL use the place for their morning work which is really very bad. Even PPL shld have some responsibility to save the water resources and environment. Official shld take up some action and...
