My group and I made a reservation for 1pm, but due to a lack of organisation by the tour provider, we were left sat around waiting bored for over 1 hour with nothing to do but wait for bike to return from other trips. There was no apology or explanation for this, nor did they offer to provide us with water whilst we were waiting. Waiting for 1 hour in 30 degree heat is not fun.
Finally, we left on the ATV bike at 2:20pm, and drove to a jungle track. On the way, one member of our groups bike started smoking, and leaked a huge amount of bright green fluid, suspected to be coolant fluid. We were told it was still safe to drive after the guide did some basic repairs and continued towards the jungle track. We spent 30 mins driving around the actual track here, which was fun.
We then drove back to the ATV shop and told we were going to a second track. However, we were sat in a long line with other groups with many people ahead of us on a steep decline, unable to move for 20 mins. We were then told that the water in the river was too high to drive through.
So we drove back up the incline, when a second bike in the group broke down with a broken chain. We eventually moved on and went around a few bends and then came to a pond where we drove around in circles for approx 3-4 minuets before being told to get out.
In total, we spent around 35 mins actually driving on tracks, despite being sold an adventure tour that would last 1.5 hours minimum and up to 2 hours maximum. When I made this observation to the staff and said that my group were not happy with being misold, I was told that we could take bikes next to the muddy pond and drive around in circles, which is not what we paid for. We paid for up to a minimum of 1.5 hour and a maximum 2 hours drive time, and 2 different tracks.
In total we spent 50 minuets actually driving the bikes (although 20 minuets was sat not moving in a long queue inside the man made tunnel which was supposed o be a cave but definitely is NOT a cave). The tunnel was filled with exhaust fumes from the bikes being sat there and was very uncomfortable to breathe in those fumes for that length of time.
There are other reviews for this tour provider that also share similar issues with regards to not getting the drive time that was promised.
The bikes are also poorly maintained - I have been quad biking many times and I've never had 2 different bikes break down in the space of less than one hour in group of 5 bikes.
Overall, very disappointing and not worth the money. I think there are much better quality tour operators in Bali that deliver what they promise and the guides actually talk to you and interact with you. I didnt see this in my experience of this...
Read moreMy experience at ATV Green Bali Adventure was nothing short of a nightmare. Not only was the equipment in dismal condition, but the lack of safety measures and basic hygiene standards made it an utterly regrettable decision.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that safety was not a priority. There was no safety briefing provided, leaving us to navigate the ATVs blindly without any guidance or knowledge of potential risks. This negligence is unacceptable and put both myself and others at unnecessary risk .the ATV'S provided were in deplorable condition, with one glaring issue being the non-functional brakes. It's beyond comprehension how a rental place could allow vehicles with such critical safety components to be used by customers. This oversight is not only negligent but downright dangerous.
Adding to the disappointment were the abysmal shower and changing room facilities. They were nothing short of disgusting, with filth and grime covering every surface. It was clear that cleanliness was not a concern for the staff, further highlighting their disregard for customer satisfaction.
To make matters worse, the track included riding on public roads, a reckless decision that led to two separate accidents during our visit. The lack of control over the environment posed a serious danger to everyone involved and could have easily been avoided with proper planning and supervision.
When I voiced my concerns and demanded a refund, I was met with resistance. While a partial refund was eventually granted, it was clear that ATV Green Bali Adventure was unwilling to take responsibility for their shortcomings.
In summary, I highly advise against renting from ATV Green Bali Adventure. The combination of bad equipment, lack of safety measures, unsanitary facilities, and reckless track design turned what should have been a fun outing into a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and choose a more reputable establishment for your ATV...
Read moreTLDR Summary: I was very worried reading the negative reviews about Green Bali adventure. Having just finished a round on the ATV with them, I must say I enjoyed it...a lot. Yes, the speeds are not high, but then most people in the tour were handling a Quad bike for the first time, so safety first I suppose. There were others in the group who were experienced and were having a bash.
Wish to know more....read on...
The equipment: firstly they gave us small plastic bags to put on our feet before we stuck our feet into gumboots. The helmets were sprayed with anti bacterial spray ( just a cursory spray). The Quad bikes were in an ok condition. The brakes worked and the bike did not fail on anyone. (Mine turned off once, but I knew how to fire it back up and got moving quickly).
The ride: it was my first time on a Quad bike and the first 10 minutes was a struggle. I kept trying to twist the grip like a bike (the throttle is actually a lever below the grip). I struggled to steer for a couple of mins and felt I was going to lose my balance..but I managed. I then worked out that it is a bit like the jetski....maintain momentum to steer yourself out of trouble spots and use your body and the steering to keep the balance. After the first 10 mins, it was a lot more fun. The track they have made is pretty good; a mix of fields, muddy water and short jungle like areas. The man made tunnel and the waterfall added to the experience. All in all I enjoyed it, being the first time.
Post the ride: They offer clean towels and changing rooms. The changing rooms are pretty average and we just changed out of our wet clothes (yes you do ride under the waterfall). Then you head up to the restaurant to purchase your photos (if you wish) and then redeem the vouchers for lunch (pretty basic feed).
To sum it up...it was a good experience...leave your unfounded fears at home and don't do anything silly. Most...
