Absolutely not recommended. It was so bad that this is the first Google review I’ve ever written in my life. My wife bought the full package, and I got the basic one (purification) just to accompany her (because you can’t even see the waterfall by buying an entrance ticket or so. You’re required to purchase a purification package or ritual to access it.) After our shared part was over, they never looked at me again. When we sat at the table, they only took her order—because hers was included in the package. Even though you could pay for things separately, they didn’t even bother to ask me anything, not even out of politeness. I was shocked when the waitress just spoke to her and walked away. I mean, I was like “Hello, I also exist as a human being and am sitting right here, why do you ignore me?”

As long as you buy a package, you're treated like a person. Otherwise, they give vague answers and avoid eye contact, barely acknowledging you at all. The staff speak in such a cold and tired manner. After my wife left, I was left standing alone in the middle of the place. No one came to guide me. I had to ask at least 4–5 people where I was supposed to wait or what to do. Luckily, one kind staff member -maybe the only one- finally helped me.

This is 100% a money trap. Tragically, the place I expected to be the most spiritual in Bali turned out to be completely commercialized. You can feel way more genuine spiritual energy at any random waterfall in Bali than here.

If you're looking for a spiritual experience, I strongly recommend you stay away. This is just a capitalist business trying to profit from people’s beliefs.

The prices are also insane. The basic purification costs around $20, but full packages go from $300 to $400. In a place like Bali, that’s just absurd. If you’re okay with being spiritually exploited, go ahead. Otherwise, avoid this place completely.

As a last note, they gave our driver/guide a hard time about parking, which we later saw had already been mentioned in other reviews. They demanded a high fee just for him to wait in the car. This has never happened to us at any other venue. Since we really like our driver/guide, I wanted to highlight this as well. Please don’t forget how important drivers/guides are for your...

I’ve done several Melukat or water purification ceremonies in Bali and I find the Taman Beji Griya Waterfall outside Ubud the most unique and special. The place is located within the Sangeh forest jungle with lots of hidden caves, cascading waterfalls and carved stone walls.

The place offers different healing modalities. Aside from the traditional Melukat ceremony, they have palm reading, past life regression, and aura cleansing. We opted for the Melukat, water purification ceremony, which was priced at IDR 300,000 per person. This package included a sarong, bell, offering, towel, two young coconuts, locker, an English-speaking guide, a priest, and a complimentary jamu drink.

The purification started with offerings and lighting of incense to the deities. The ceremony involved five purification stages: first purification was in the shower in a hidden canyon in the cave to balance out health and call on fertility. the second purification was in the well to cleanse our aura and attract wealth and luck. The third purification was to release emotions in two waterfalls- screaming to release negativity and laughing to release joy and happiness. The fourth purification was performing a pengelukatan in the shower in the pool. And last purification was receiving a sacred blessing with young green and yellow coconut water by the priestess.

If you are seeking a unique and transformative experience, I highly recommend visiting Taman Beji Griya Waterfall. It offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the wonders of nature while embarking on a journey of purification...

The cleansing ceremony was an unforgettable experience of immersion into Balinese culture and spirituality. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this sacred site is surrounded by lush forests and serene rivers, creating an atmosphere of complete tranquility.

The cleansing process in the holy spring was deep and transformative. The water carries a unique energy, and each ritual is accompanied by a profound sense of release and inner peace. The presence of local priests, their prayers, and blessings added a special significance and depth to the ceremony.

A special mention must go to our guide, Leo, who made the experience even more meaningful. His deep knowledge of Balinese traditions, coupled with his warm and welcoming personality, made us feel completely at ease. Leo took the time to explain each step of the ceremony, providing valuable insights that allowed us to fully appreciate the spiritual significance of the rituals. His passion for his culture is truly inspiring, and it added an extra layer of richness to our experience.

I felt as if all my negative emotions and fatigue were washed away by the flow of water, leaving behind a sense of lightness and renewal. The ceremony was not just a physical cleansing but also a spiritual one, filling me with new strength and energy.

I highly recommend this experience, especially with Leo as your guide, to anyone seeking harmony and inner peace. This is not just a tourist activity, but a genuine opportunity to connect with the ancient traditions of Bali and experience the depth of the...

This place is perfect for those of you who want to visit but with a different atmosphere, because this place offers a cool and peaceful spiritual tourism sensation with amazing views. Taman Beji Griya Waterfall is a place to purify themselves or melukat. I think the place is very well managed, the holy place is also clean. Access to this place can be reached by cars and motorbikes, but you have to walk a little from the parking lot to get the place. There are also lockers and a place to change clothes, but the place to change clothes is not completely closed, maybe in the future this can be improved again. For the locker it costs 10K / locker, and parking fee 2K for motorcycle. For melukat equipment, you can bring 25pcs canang + dupa n rarapan, 1 pejati, and 2 bungkak from home. But if you don't bring it, there are also stalls that provide the melukat equipment. The melukat activity will be guided by a guide who is there, the guide will not only accompany you, but also explain where to menghaturkan sarana, the procedures, and the meaning of each holy place. The place for melukat are varied, some are like in a canyon, some are pancuran, and some are waterfalls. This waterfall really attracts attention, because there we can scream to get our feelings out, and laugh at the next waterfall. For the tips, you have to be careful when passing the stairs, because it's quite slippery. It was a very great experience, two thumbs up👍👍

It was really a unique cultural experience in the beauty of nature. The place is amazing. But there are a couple of things; the enterence fee is 300k per person and it includes the ceremony. My girlfriend did not want to get the ceremony because we were here for just to see the waterfall. But it was not possible to see the waterfall if you don't pay for the ceremony even you don't believe in. So you are forced to pay 300k, do the ceremony to be able to see the waterfall. This feels wrong. Also, if you pay for this ceremony, you expect a good service with an English-speaking guide. To be honest, we didn’t understand almost anything because our guide didn’t speak English. He was a really nice guy, I don’t blame him of course, but maybe he could have been assigned to a different position in the same facility. Another thing is; while the ceremony you get wet under the waters, you are always without shoes, they put some kind of blessed water and rice on your face and on your head. So, you need a shower after the ceremony. But the there is no shower here. You have to go back to your hotel if you feel that you need a shower, otherwise you spend your rest of the day with small pieces of rice in your hair. I gave these stars just for the beauty of the nature in this place. But for the facility, I would only give 1 star.
