Lamaru Beach is one of the popular beaches in Balikpapan. Good vibes, nice view with lots of shady pine trees and riverbank on the east side of the beach. Along the coast are a kid-friendly playground, family picnic area, and campground. Rent a club car or an ATV and have a nice drive between the trees and sands. Then go wild on a banana boat or just keep it calm on a goose-like boat. No worries if you got wet and need to change your clothes, there are many showers provided with clean toilets. Not to mention a soap & shampoo seller just roundabout when you need ones. When it's time to pray, you can go to the prayer room equipped with prayer rugs and Quran. Then tame your rumbly tummy at some food kiosk not far from the prayer room. Overall, the beach is worth visiting except there is some trash here and there made by visitors, even there is a cleaning-service truck with men who come every hour or two to pick them up but the trash is kept coming. So please, keep the beach clean when you have the time...
