Fort Nassau, Banda Islands — Attraction in Banda islands

It's just the building foundation left and didn't have a much storyline at least for me, except this is the first defensive fortress built by the Portuguese in order to protect themselves from attacking by (local) Neira people who stand up and opposed against colonialism trade of nutmegs and spices in Banda island.

Location is lower altitude and can be destroyed easy so they abandoned it and built another one named Belgica to replace it at the higher altitude.

I suggested to get my review of the Fort Belgica for additional information about the things and connection between the two fortress.

Fort Nassau was built by the Dutch in 1609 in Banda (or Bandaneira) Island,Maluku, Indonesia. Nowadays, the building is not in good condition. It is almost damaged and in a state of disrepair or ruin as a result of age or being neglected. The tourist can still see some parts of it, two bastions and substantial walls.

this Fort is of a historical importance, but nothing much left behind except the wall. Renovation is still progress, and the locals said nothing much...
