Karang Taraje Beach — Attraction in Banten

Karang Taraje is the next destination I visited when I went to Sawarna Village. To get to Karang Taraje, from the main road, it's still pretty far and only motorcycle can pass by. So, it's highly recommended to either bring your own motorcycle, take a motorcycle taxi, or just rent one.

To enjoy the beauty of Karang Taraje, visitor needs to pay IDR 5000 per person. But, because I visited during weekdays and no one attended the entrance, I didn't pay for it.

Karang Taraje beach are adorned with cliffs, coral reefs, and huge rock formations. There is a very large reef, requiring a ladder to climb it. From the top of the reef we can see the edge of the reefs that were constantly hit by the waves, and if you come close enough you'll also get splashed. The big rock formation is also decent-looking, and there's always some men who enjoy their time fishing. If you like fishing, you might consider to bring your own equipment.

The Sawarna Karang Taraje site is certainly an exclusive site due to its remoteness. Very interesting and probably unique in its geology, it has become over the years a place recognized by Indonesian visitors, but still very little visited by foreigners due to its geographical location in the far west of the island of Java, and therefore away from the main tourist routes. Personally, as a photographer, I had gone there in the hope of immortalizing the famous waterfall that only appears when the waves pass over this rocky bar. I had conscientiously planned for favorable weather, but unfortunately not a high enough tide. From my point of view, the site is interesting, but not as extraordinary as they want you to believe, and what is not sufficiently explained is that if you go there to observe this famous phenomenon, you will have to be patient because in this case, you will of course need a very high tide, which also means that you will be stuck for a few hours on the hill facing this site, because it will cut off your access to the return path via the reef. A detail that you will have to anticipate and which will certainly force you to devote a whole day to it. In the end, my impression is a little disappointing and I advise you to plan more time to visit Karang Bokor, not far from there, which does not have the same configuration, but is no less interesting.

Français Le site de Sawarna Karang Taraje est certainement un site exclusif de par son isolement. Très intéressant et probablement unique par sa géologie, il est devenu au fil des ans un lieu reconnu par les visiteurs indonésiens, mais encore très peu visité par les étrangers en raison de sa situation géographique à l'extrême ouest de l'île de Java, et donc à l'écart des principaux itinéraires touristiques. Personnellement, en tant que photographe, je m'y étais rendu dans l'espoir d'immortaliser la célèbre cascade qui n'apparaît que lorsque les vagues passent sur cette barre rocheuse. J'avais consciencieusement prévu une météo favorable, mais malheureusement pas une marée assez haute. De mon point de vue, le site est intéressant, mais pas aussi extraordinaire qu'on veut vous le faire croire, et ce qui n'est pas suffisamment expliqué, c'est que si vous y allez pour observer ce célèbre phénomène, il faudra être patient car dans ce cas, il faudra bien sûr une marée très haute, ce qui signifie également que vous serez coincé pendant quelques heures sur la colline face à ce site, car cela coupera votre accès au chemin de retour par le récif. Un détail qu'il faudra anticiper et qui vous obligera certainement à y consacrer une journée entière. Au final, mon impression est un peu décevante et je vous conseille de prévoir plus de temps pour visiter Karang Bokor, non loin de là, qui n'a pas la même configuration, mais n'en est pas moins...

PANTAI KARANG TARAJE

Merupakan Pantai Sawarna yang memiliki pemandangan karang yang menakjubkan. Meski begitu, untuk sampai ke pantai ini tidaklah mudah.

Pantai Karang Taraje terletak di timur Pantai Legon Pari. Meskipun berdekatan, namun situasi dan kondisinya tidak sama. Pantai Karang taraje lebih terlihat dingin dan keras, sedangkan Pantai Laguna Pari terlihat hangat dan lembut.

Kondisi alam di pantai ini lebih di dominasi oleh batuan karang dengan ukuran yang beranekaragam. Memiliki pemandangan yang tidak kalah indahnya dengan Pantai Sawarna lainnya.

Harga Tiket Masuk

Untuk masuk ke Pantai Karang Taraje wisatawan harus membayar retribusi sebesar Rp5.000/orang. Biaya masuk tersebut sudah termasuk biaya masuk Pantai Legon Pari dan Pantai Karang Beureum.

Dengan harga tiket masuk yang cukup terjangkau, wisatawan bisa mengunjungi tiga pantai. Pos penjaga tiket masuk berada setelah jembatan gantung.

Sama seperti Pantai Tanjung Layar dan Pantai Ciantir, untuk kendaraan roda empat tidak bisa masuk ke Pantai Karang Taraje, hanya bisa dilewati kendaraan roda dua.

Namun jangan khawatir, wisatawan yang menggunakan kendaraan roda empat bisa memarkir kendaraan pada area parkir yang sudah disediakan. Biaya parkir kendaraan adalah Rp5.000. Jika kendaraan parkir bermalam,...
