Pantan Terong — Attraction in Bebesan

Pantan Terong is a must tourism spot in Central Aceh, Takengon. Located on the hilltop of Gayo plateau, the altitude of Pantan Terong is around 1,850 meters above sea level. From this place, besides the Takengon capital and Lut Tawar Lake as a whole, we can also see the Bebangka Mounding Race field in Pegasing Subdistrict, Rembele airport in Simpang Tiga Redelong, and it was surrounded by beautiful mountain ridges.

Pantan Terong provides two giant balcony to the visitor to look at the Lut Tawar lake and city of Takengon as a whole. This was a place for a selfie/wefie lover with a magnificent view of Gayo highland.

One of my favourite places to see in Takengon. This place features the best view of Takengon and Lake Lut Tawar. The best time to visit is in the morning or before sunset when the temperature is not very hot. For better picture, come around afternoon or evening to avoid backlight. If you drive on your own, make sure you have a reliable driving skill and strong engine as the elevation of the hill can be close to 45°. Local people said that some visitors have died recently due to motor accident when trying to get to this area.

As you get to the top, the view is breathtaking and will never be forgotten. Bring good cameras and tripods as you do not want to miss the view and photos for lifetime memory. Parking costs Rp.10,000/car but less for motorcycle. Entry to the site is Rp.5,000 for an adult. Children...

This is the highest place in takengon.. It take around 20 or 30 minutes from the city.. Your car/motorcycle have to be strong mechanical cause its tanjakan ..
