Merapi Golf Club — Attraction in Cangkringan

Located about an hour drive from the heart city of jogjakarta and nested within safe distance near merapi volcano yet feels quite close. This 18 holes course have breathtaking view specially in early morning with the sunrise and the fog. The course itself its not an easy course sloppy, hard and fast green, several blind holes yet its challenging enough to play second round if you have the whole day off. The view and the wheather is amazing. Even though we play in the middle of the day of summer, the wind breeze cooled us. Thw restaurant is fair, the locker and the toiled is a little bit out of date, ut the staff is okay. The caddies are understand the field so they can give you good suggestions. What become a pitty is that the grass is not enough watered and the fairway and the green is not well maintained. What an amazing experience playing golf in here. Amazing scenery, beautiful yet difficult courses. Lovely season for playing golf, either in the morning or afternoon will probably see the mt merapi clearly.

Played 18 holes, lost 7 balls in total 😓, scored 110. For a 5 months golfer I think it was not too bad.
