A stylish rest area in Ambarawa - Bawen. Not an ordinary one, this place has a magnificent scenery of intramontane lake from Ungaran-Telomoyo-Merbabu Mount which are surrounding Rawa Pening Lake. Beside restaurant, it offers viewing area, swimming pool, playing ground, outbound, fish pond, and garden. Entry ticket is IDR 20k per person and IDR 5k for parking. Best time to visit is before sunset. You can just enjoy the scenery, chill, and relax. As for the food, I think it is tastes okay for snacks such as stuffed tofu, french fries, fried cassava, fried banana, etc. I didn't order main course tho bcs a bit expensive for me. I think the safety here is still need to be concerned, especially if you bring kids bcs there is no railing in the cliff area and no swimming water pool.

Ke2 kali kesini. Pertama kali ke sini sekitar thn 2016 kalo ga salah. Dan sebenernya pertama kesini sudah kapok, krn di jogja banyak tempat yg lebih bagus dengan harga yg lebih bersahabat, kalopun mahal biasanya fasilitas+makanannya jg lumayan lah. Ini terlalu mahal utk liat pemandangan saja. Kesini lagi krn ini acara rombongan. Menurut saya : Tempat wisata untuk kelas menengah atas tp fasilitas tidak setara dengan harga. Kenapa? 1. Harga mahal untuk sekedar foto² doang dengan pemandangan danau dr ketinggian. 2. Terlanjur masuk kamar mandi, tiba² jet shower airnya ga nyala. 3. Banyak tempat yg area taman sepertinya tidak terlalu terawat, hanya sekedar disapu/dibersihkan saja. 4. Food & Beverage yg dijual paling byk catatan menurutku. Kebetulan cuma beli kentang goreng, kelapa muda, hot vanila latte, sm es jeruk. Harganya mungkin emg standar resto kelas menengah atas. Tapi parah sih. Kelapa muda keras banget harga 30.000/buah aku gapapa kalo kelapanya enak, lembut. Tapi ini yaampun ga sesuai bgt sm harga. Trus vanilla latte nya cuma kyk beli minuman sachet harga 1000an trus diseduh, wanginya wangi kopi murahan yg eneg banget, pas diminum rasanya ninggal di tenggorokan dan eneg bgt jg. Penyajiannya jg pake sendok makan plastik, minimal kalo pake sendok plastik kan bs ya pake sendok teh gt. Aku rasa harga 25.000 SANGAT ga pantes. Seenggaknya kalo mau jual dgn harga segitu kasih lah kopi² yg kalo di jual di pasaran harganya 8000/botol. Bakal lebih masuk akal sih. Trus es jeruknya yg paling enak, walopun harga nya jg mahal. 25.000 dgn penyajian gelas plastik yg gelasnya aja udah jelek banget. Minimal bisa kali pake gelas yg bagusan 😂 untuk kentang goreng ya cm kentang goreng frozen gt mungkin. Standar lah. Tp sausnya cm dikasih saus tomat. 5. Standar pelayanan dr staffnya kurang merata. Ada yg ramah, ada yg jutek. Saya memang bukan target marketnya. Tapi semoga masukan dari saya bs dijadikan pertimbangan. Krn menurut saya harga mahal tidak masalah asal kualitas, rasa dan fasilitas dijaga.

I was recommended by a friend to visit this place. I was surprised when we were asked to pay IDR 25K for the entrance since we were there to have lunch at the restaurant. We paid though, and not sorry for it. Delicious food (only the Ayam Kampung is disappointing, so not chewable, not cooked well), and beautiful surrounding. The entrance fee is charged because it's a resto with great scenery of Rawa Pening, perfected by many photo spots without having to pay to take pictures. The payment needed only when we want to swim there, cost IDR 20K per person. We can stay as long as we'd like there. A recommended place to spend the time with your family.

The place is very instagramable. The place has a nice architechture & design and also has a great view of mountain and rice fields.

The foods are pricey and were not impressive at all — B- for me — and only a few options available.

They have a pool — which you have to pay some bucks to access it — and a playground that includes a small outbound park for kids. But this place is not safe for kids. Please look after your kids all the time. They got an outbound park but they got no safety equipment, not even an officer to watch over your kids while they are playing in the park. There are also cliffs which again don't have a security feature. You or your kids may fall...

You have to pay 20k rupiah to see unfinished buildings with low safety grade (unfinished buildings and railings, and some place don't have any railings at all. So many rusted metal from building materials that could potentiality harm visitors). You have to spent more to swim or just for entering the pool's area. Foods are too pricey, and didn't even taste that good. The scenery is good, but I've seen some restaurants with nicer food, place, and outstanding scenery without paying for enter ticket (again, this is ridiculous).

Let me say this, it's not worth to visit this place. Unless until they decided to finish their buildings, I am not gonna come...
