Goa Seplawan — Attraction in Central Java

First cave I ever visited. The first impresive thing is the accessibility. For you who interest with driving challenge (motorcycle or car), you should try this track from Purworejo. Not only challenging, the view along way is also refresh us. Turn off your car AC and enjoy nature wind blow your skin. The place already have information center but when I was there (aug 24, 2018) it wasn't used yet. But I surely can say the view from viewing post is the best, and is the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta Province. The cave has mystical feel, supported with natural track & just some lights (I love the purple one). Staffs are very friendly, they offer boots rent and guide (you'll need it if it's your first time). Thanks to Mr. Slamet, please wait for my second visit. He promise me to try the second track (more extreme track). Just 2 notes for you all visitors, please keep cleanliness and don't do vandalism. It's not cool bro, sist. You can take unlimited photos to prove you were there, not by writing your name or drawing everywhere. Please. This is hystoric place, keep it's...

this a complete package, cave, cliff, vast view, trees. If you like serenity with fog and a bit of jogging, this is your place...even the journey to this place is another adventure with pine trees, zigzag road, breeze air. You can get both cave or go to the hill side to see the drop-down scenery...if not welcomed by a thick fog ..or cloud as this place is high above. as well, you can go down to the cave to enjoy the rocks and moss. to be honest, I just went only until the entance-ish part of the cave as it is starting to rain at that moment and I did not want to be inside the cave while raining. . So...trave here is worth it for me...not always the destination...but the journey from Jogja City as you can see nature for your eyes...but remember....the journey will take time...so plan your journey properly. Better go in the morning and enjoy other places to visit...

goa yang terletak di dusun katerban desa donorejo kecamatan kaligesing kabupaten purworejo yang berbatasan dengan provinsi daerah istimewa yogyakarta.dari pusat kota purworejo kurang kebih 20 km. tempat wisata yang potensi alam nya masih alami dengan panorama nya yang indah sejuk dan udaranya masih segar dingin dan berkabut. untuk jalan menuju lokasi wisata bagi pengunjung di haruskan untuk selalu berhati hati di sebabkan jalur menuju lokasi bisa di bilang jalur ekstrim,tanjakan yang tinggi dan berkelok kelok sangat membahayakan bagi pemotor pemula dan juga kendaraan nya kondisinya yang sehat .untuk area parkirnya ada tempat parkir motor dan mobil yang cukup luas dan aman karena ada penjaganya,juga ada toilet kamar mandi dan mushola yg cukup bersih. banyak warung warung penjual makanan dan minuman.ada gazebo gazebo.gardu pandang,dari gardu pandang kita bisa melihat pemandangan kawasan yogyakarta.pengunjung rame kalau akhir pekan dan terlebih lagi kalau hari libur. untuk harga tiket ny kalo motor 12000 rupiah sudah sekalian untuk parkirnya. untuk di dalam goa ny.penerangan kurang.kalau mau susur goa harus pakai jasa pemandu atau bareng teman yang sudah pernah masuk ke goanya.karena di dalam goa ada cabang/ruangan yg belum tereksplor.aman atau enggak nya takut tersesat.di dalam goanya juga ada sungai bawah tanah,airnya sangat jernih banget. hati hati juga kepala ke sundul stalaktit atau batuan kapur yg mengeras menggantung di sepanjang langit langit gua.karena langit langit gua ada yang pendek dan ada yang tinggi.dalam nya gua panjang kurang lebih 700 meter dengan diameter 15 meter dan berkelok kelok.jalan berlumpur dan licin.tapi sudah jalan setapak sebagian. ada tempat ruangan buat pertapaan yang dulunya di temuakan arca emas shiva parvati seberat 1.5 kg yang sekarang di simpan di museum nasional jakarta. ada juga cagar budaya yang terdapat batu lingga dan yoni yang merupakan peninggalan...
