Ketro Dam has a reservoir of approximately 2.8 million cubic meters at the normal water level. The dam was built at the Ketro River, a small tributary of the Bengawan Solo River, in the Sragen Regency. The dam construction started in the year 1975, but due some technical & financing delays it was completed and inaugurated in 1984. The dam has a homogenous soil embankment with a clay core. Currently the dam is managed by a specific dam management unit under the Ministry of Public Works and Housings.
