The bus being air conditioned, the smell of compost wafted through the air into the cabin. Hugh mounds lined the side of the path in readiness for use on the big plots of vegetations being cultivated behind. Did not encounter any vehicle coming down the opposite directoon. Wondered what would have been the outcome in such an incidence. The park on top was relatively clean, cool and windy. Going up a narrow uneven stone paved lane lined on both sided with food kiosks to the main area for photograph taking and viewing area was not easy for someone unused to rocky terrains. However the climb was worth the effort. The view was beautiful and the panoramic sight of land below was breath taking. After having a pleasurable session of getting themselves into the photos, the group descended and had some snacks on the empty space by the bus in the parking lot. Then it was time to go down the hill to another attraction nearby. We did not encounter any bus or large transport vehicle coming up on the way down. Wonder how such a situation is resolved in such an instance. I really would like to...
Read moreThe best healing place. From the highway you have to pass 3 km of small cobblestone roads surrounded by tobacco trees. There are many types of camping packages here with a minimum of 10 pax. But for weekend nights it can be without a minimum of people.
In my opinion, this includes luxury camping. Because at a price of 80k/person, we have got a secure tent, sleeping bag, mattress and pillow. In this place also available bathrooms are plenty and clean of course. Then to eat, there will be a shop mother who is ready to deliver food at the time we specify. For the price alone around 15k-25k. Cheap right?
Camping here is very satisfying. Because we are presented with a beautiful view. If you get good weather, then you will see this place surrounded by Mount Sindoro on the left and Mount Sumbing on the right. Really miss the atmosphere there. Unfortunately, it was filled with fog so it wasn't very clear. But what a...
Read moreThe area was relatively clean. Air was fresh. Place was cool and windy. Makes a delightful leisurely stroll a pleasure on a day of rest. The uphill path could have been more evenly paved with the stones to make the walk more pleasing, making it less arduous and precarious to navigate. On level ground I guess that would not pose much of a problem. There's enough to keep one relaxingly occupied for a few hours here. Overall, worth a visit to refresh your mind and soul from the hustle and bustle of daily working routine. Just be mindful of the journey to this utopia as it is not as smooth as you would expect it to be. The road up is not asphalt paved and will not accommodate two vehicles easily, let alone two tour buses. Along the way be prepared for the unpleasant odour of compost heaps lining the side by farmers for their crops around the area. There's plenty to see on the way. Just remember the pot of gold at the end of...
