It was nice spending a night in a simple amenitized shack on top of a chilly mountain. But so many improvements could be made.
First, let's talk about the location. It's pretty high up. You could stroll around the place while enjoying the view. If it wasn't terribly foggy. Might've chose the wrong time visiting this place; the weather wasn't exactly friendly. It was very wet, the air contained a great deal of moisture, rain happened, temperatures dipped below 15°C, and thick fog blocked the view. But of course, the place (as I said) is pretty high up. So, this kind of weather was (and should always be) expected.
The bungalow we stayed in (G6) happens to be located on the highest bit of the place along with (if not mistaken) 4 other bungalows. The pathway was quite steep and potentially slippy. Getting there was a struggle. Reaching and returning from the restaurant (which was conveniently located on the other side of the pathway, way way down below) was just such a joy.
The bungalows was great to look at. Those are some well designed builds. But living inside one was... um... okay. It didn't feel that well-built. Not exactly comfy feeling, but hey, at least we could sleep and shower. In the cold. No biggie.
Lawu Park lend us a couple of towels and a couple of bags of amenities (contains soap). The bungalow (G6) contained two large mattresses with four pillows and two large blankets, a TV (with a limited range of channels and fuzzy imagery), two power sockets (one if them is for the TV), two windows with curtains (one of the curtains was semi broken), and a bathroom which contains a showerhead, a tap, a toilet, a tank based electrical water heater (that runs out of hot water real quick), and a bucket. But no electrical kettle though. Which was a bummer.
A lot more could be said about my experience here. Everyone has their own different opinions. In mine, I'll give three stars. But if my review somehow persuaded you against visiting this place, well... don't. My review, my biased views. Don't be hesitant to give this place a try. Go ahead and try spending a night or a few more here, in a bungalow or a tent, by yourself, with your significant other, or with your family. You might like it. You might love it.
I'd recommend this place for people who doesn't care about amenities, for people who love the great open outdoors. If you're one of those people, this place might be worth your attention,...
Read moreLast year me and my family came out here, this is my favorite place to neutralize the atmosphere. Why this place? Because it is the perfect place to cool the mind, to store energy in cool air, healthy air, lots of tall trees, here you can see beautiful natural sights. And be supported by such things as tree houses, tree Bridges, lovely lights in the afternoon, lodgings, swings, atv motors, and food vendors.
There was a moment yesterday, when in this very spot my whole family could enjoy a holiday with each other. It was rare for me to take a vacation with complete family members. It happened that my cousin went to Java on a holiday that day, and I had not seen them for a long time. It must be a long time to go to Java. I was driving with the family on our trip to the x diner, where we ordered my sister's roast chicken, which she loved to eat, and when she went home she remembered that the chicken skin had not been eaten, and she got mad in the car because there was no reminder.
When I was here yesterday, it just paid for the parking. Public utilities you can use for free except for individual rides such as inn, atv motor, jeep, flying fox and so on. I'm here to make a suggestion, but if you want to visit this place better during the day. You can leave at home in the morning. Because if the hour got late in the afternoon it would be crowded and it would be bad on the way home for people who were...
Read moreI went there on Monday afternoon. There's not too many people around so I like it even more as I get to take pictures without disturbance. The place is so pretty and clean. They have a lot of public toilet that I considered clean. They have rabbit and sheeps and goats and people can feed and pet them. They have a fake snow land, some small tree house as well for taking pictures, as well as a couple of fake horses for children. There's a small warung/snack booth where we can buy hot beverages, snacks, and cup noodles (cause its friggin cold in here) and even ice cream! And it is not too expensive. They have people selling house plants and flowers as well for souvenirs. Overall I like the place, it is suitable for a family trip.
Tempatnya bagus, bersih, dan rapi. Tempat sampah tersedia dimana-mana. Toiletnya lumayan bersih. Parkir lumayan luas.
