Pantai Sowa — Attraction in Central Papua

Locals said that this shark is live here, not only migrate, so its not difficult to find them. Sowa Beach can reach about 3 hours driving from Nabire. You can rent a car about IDR 500 - 700K/day exclude gasoline. In Sowa Beach, you can stay in the little homestay own by locals. To find the whale shark, you must rent a boat for IDR 1500 K and going to the Bagan (some floating steady ship to looking for a baby shrimp or anchovies) about an hour from the beach. There are many Bagans near Sowa Beach, and they usually communicate by Radio. The whale shark come to the bagan every morning, because the fisherman usually feed them with the anchovies. So you must know in where bagan the whale shark is showing. Dont forget to keep the whale shark safe, so don't swim to close and don't touch...

Kayanya untuk tahun ini sedang ada renovasi dan pembangunan terlihat dari dermaga kayu2nya sudah lapuk dan keropos. Bisa sewa perahu untuk lihat ikan hiu paus di tengah laut dgn ongkos 2,5jt.
