One of the best things about the Togean National Park is its remote location. Getting there requires some effort, but the journey is worth it. I was there for diving and travel around all the islands. With 500++ islands, you’ll never get bored. They have amazing underwater life, reefs, wrecks, fish, macros. Current is almost none, with warm temperature you can even dive with 1mm wetsuit.
To reach Togean, you can go from Gorontalo and ride a 12 hour ferry ride. Or from Palu with a 9 hour road trip and 5 hour ferry ride.
Seafood is superb, very cheap, tasty and fresh. I always cried while enjoying my food there. Please spare them tips as token of gratitude when you come here, as they rely much on tourism and sea products export.
Oh, I stayed at Kadidiri Paradise Resort. It is located in Kadidiri Island, an island in Togean Islands. From Wakai (where you dropped off from your ferry ride), it took around 45 mins boat ride. If you book a stay with Kadidiri Resort, they will also arrange your trip to and from Wakai. You can arrange any activity you like here, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, trekking, they even have beach volley and badminton - and board games 😀 dont worry about food because they will serve you 3 times/day full meal.

Related to their tribe name as Sea Tribe, most of this member of the tribe build their house on the upper of the sea. As you may ever hear about the floating house.
For visitors, the islands and surrounding area are beautiful with blue and green seawater and sometimes there is no big wave only still water.
Actually, under the sea, there are a lot of beautiful coral, a sea sponge, and other sea creatures. if you are lucky you may see a whale shark, black manta, dolphins dan tuna. The diver would love this place so much for diving or snorkeling.
Once I stayed there with the team of researcher from one of NGO which make research for marine life found out that some diving area was broken and the coral is dying because most of the fisherman do sea bombing to catch the fish.
