Luwuk City is nicknamed the City of Water. In this area you can find many water attractions. One of them is the Cup waterfall. This tour is quite popular among travelers. The eye-pleasing beauty of this waterfall is able to hypnotize visitors to linger in that place. Why not, Cup waterfall is not like waterfalls in general. The distinctive clear green color of the Piala waterfall is a special attraction for travelers.

Around the Cup waterfall, visitors can enjoy the beautiful open nature. The large, shady trees make the surrounding area feel cool and cool, as if at an altitude of thousands of meters above sea level. Was perfect for a few hours in the morning before we headed to the airport for an afternoon flight. We went early (leaving hotel in town at 8) and beat the crowds which started to come around 11.

The road is rough getting up there, but drivers know how to navigate it well. The walk from the car park is short.

The waterfall is INCREDIBLE. Way more than I was expecting after seeing photos which made it look average. Cool refreshing water, lots of pools to swim in, rocks to scramble up, and pathways to make navigating from layer to layer much easier. We could have easily spent all day playing in the falls, but unfortunately had a flight to catch.

An extra plus is that the locals who charge the little 5k entrance fee also collect the trash left around the falls, which is much nicer than most waterfalls...

BEWARE: The map direction gives the wrong turn,

On the last two intersections, you need to turn right and go down and follow the road and you’ll see the next intersection, this one you take a left (the right goes to the mosque with a paving block road), and the road goes hike up and you reach the parking space and ticket Counter.

You Can Swim anywhere you like.

There’s a payable changing room and toilet, And a local stall selling coffee, tea, water, and cooked instant noodles. Please buy some for them to help the locals.
