Prolly, It's like the one beach in the country where playing 'Sunday Best' by Surfaces just doesn't vibe right. Renovations happened, but let's be real, it's still just a smidge better.
Let's spill the beans. This small bee-yatch is basically a backyard extension with no clear line between houses, the harbor, and the actual sand. And don't even get me started on their Cinderella hours - beach curfew at 5 or 6 p.m. Goodness! It has closing hours. Except for the restaurant. They open til night.
And there's some wild tale that the ocean water here works like a miracle potion. Healing powers boo yah, I'm skeptical ofcourse, but who knows, right? Some people live the legend by soaking in it.

No shady trees to sit under, and if you want to build sandcastels you can go to small sandy-island few meters from the beach, in the middle of the sea. You can hire dingy-boat or walk through the brown water. Blackish brown, not blue. And if you want to clean up after, you must buy a bucket of water for Rp2000. No shower...
