Previously I criticized the purpose of concrete fences around the alun-alun. It is still on my point, that alun-alun supposed to be open and not secluded.
But after several times I visited alun-alun for family picnics I objectively mention that a lot of facilities that are featured here is not so bad. The asphalt flooring seems solid, visitors allowed to step on grass, and children playground have various attractions. The padepokan seems good for chilling and contemplating.
Before, I am grateful that I pay no fee for motorcycle parking service, turns out now you'll have your parking ticket, and you have to pay 3k. I am still neutral about this until you have to pass a lot of street seller (pengasong, street food, baloon&toys sellers). The parking lot itself have a gate that is connected through the alun-alun. Why do visitors have to pass through a lot of street sellers first? Visitors who come to alun-alun expected to have good times with their children, and children, of course cannot resist when they see baloons and toys at their sights. What if the visitors who happened as parents do not have enough money and have to deal with their children tantrum just to buy sweets, baloons, and toys?
After all, you will see that there are a lot, A LOT of little RC mini vehicles which are rentalled. A lot of distractions for walking visitors. Not mentioning the temptation for children who'll want to ride on them.
Earlier, the minuses I critizes a lot is the fences, how the heck you call it alun-alun when it is secluded? The accesibility I mentioned, and the fish pond that are not maintained.
After all, 2 stars would be fair. Hope this...
Read moreDepok City Square, or Forest Park (TaHuRa), which was inaugurated on January 2020 by Depok City Mayor, is currently closed to the general public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So when I came here it was really quiet. The square is quite large with various places/spots for recreation and sports. The path can be used to fill the morning time by jogging. In the afternoon we can spend time (ngabuburit) while exercising on foot. Some spots can be used just to sit and hangout or take selfies. For those who want to exercise, there is a futsal court, basketball court, BMX and skateboarding facilities.
Its just a shame that the toilet is dirty and it looks like no one is keeping it clean. This place is also called Grand Forest Park, but the trees are still not many, not tall and lush. So it feels hot and arid. The parking space is limited so that it has the potential to cause congestion on Grand Depok...
Read more(+) points: So many public facilities provided such as: basketball arena, futsal, skateboard and skating areas, badminton, outdoor playground, etc. Many toilets & bathroom provided also in many spots. Nice design & nice view
(-) points: The place is too hot. So many plastics waste of mineral water etc on the floor, shame...😞 too crowded parking area with no paving blocks. There’s a broken toilet, flushing isn’t working good, and there’s shoes traces on the toilet holder.🤦🏻♀️
My suggestion 💡: Need to improved about green areas, planting some trees maybe is a good idea to make the comfy ambience. Need to added some dustbin in every spots. Need to educate Depok citizens about ‘Go Green’ & ‘Zero waste’ Need to Increasing environment awareness to all Depok citizens to make our city become better and...
