A little beach of the south of Malang Regency. Ff you go from downtown Malang, the traffic is quite bad because there are many big trucks and junctions, so be prepare for at least 3 hours drive.
The beach is quite secluded, the sand is white and soft, but unfortunately there are so many plastic garbages below the surface (plastic bags, sachets, tampons etc). So by the time i put my snorkling equipment and jump to the water, it look horrible. The guide tells me it will be clean on any other period, but i have not been able to check it ( I visit on late June 2018).
If you travel by car, the parking lot is about 3 km from the beach so you have to walk through the Clungup Mangrove Conservation (CMC). They will charge you the guide fee (100K IDR per group) on the entrance, which i personally think it is not really necessary (you can use google map to trek the beach position). The road to the beach is nice and dry.
They will ask you to list all the items that you bring to the beach, which is off course a good idea to maintain the cleanliness, but I don't think they really chek it. To return to the car, you need to walk back the trail you used before, otherwise you can rent a boat (150K IDR) that will take you to the jetty. From the jetty you then rent a motorcycle (ojek) to return to the car parking lot. Quite...

Access is limited to preserve the ecosystem, so advance reservation is highly recommended; we chanced a walk-in and were fortunate. Upon arrival, staff conduct an availability check, followed by a brief orientation. Visitors are then transported via trike to another checkpoint, where belongings are inspected to ensure no littering—items are rechecked upon return. A certified local guide is mandatory, though costs are more economical if shared among a group.
Our guide offered a boat ride to shorten the trek, though this depends on tidal conditions. The journey is not for the faint-hearted, passing through eerie, submerged mangrove areas that eerily conjure thoughts of crocodiles. However, the effort is well worth it: Pantai Tiga Warna reveals a pristine beach with vibrant snorkeling opportunities. For those who choose to hike back, a visit to nearby Gatra Beach—facing Teluk Asmara—makes for a scenic finale. That said, the terrain is demanding, and I would advise against this trip for the elderly or those not in good...
