Pujonkidul Ricefield Cafe — Attraction in East Java

A recommendation from local friend with outdoor nuance. It is located in a mid of agriculture area with the scenery of surrounding mountains.

The buildings have wood accent and vintage decoration. I would say this is a joglo (a traditional javanese house). The seating may vary from the tables (inside the seatings are arranged like cafe or long table for families or small table only for getting coffee and small snack. There is also outdoor seating like small hut that separate from main building. You can get the maximum outdoor experience in these small huts.

The foods are somewhat authentic Malang and some normal menus for meat such as (ribs soup, grilled ribs soup). I order a package of sayur lodeh with fried chicken on the side. The sayur lodeh is similars to a raw jakcfruit soup from sundanese (a bit spicy for me) and the chicken is fried nicely with herbs seasoning of galangal topping. Yes galangal instead of fried coconut shred (serundeng). I do enjoy the drinks which a bit modern style (mocktail) and you should order their banana fritters.

It was a relaxing and good moments to hang out with friends in Cafe...

nice vacation spot, foods are served creatively to anticipates the crowds. tastes are good, but most likely sweet.

views are good to memorize and photographs. mountain view at the very far end of the cafe, landscape took place on hills, so you should watch your steps and recommended to use flat shoes or mountain/hiking sandals.

staffs are kind and friendly, and the good thing is, they're everywhere!! so you won't leave helpless during your visit.

on the entrance of the cafe sawah, there're lot of other attractions, especially for kids (eq. pony rides, rabbit hole, water bike, etc) which has satisfying duration of each ride.

there's a long way down from the car park to the cafe, again not recommended to use heels or any uncomfort foot-wears. "ojek" are available as alternative transport to the car park, but beware of the pricing.. always negotiate for the best price (~ Rp.10k to 15k max per...

If you want to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with your friend and family, you can visit here - Cafe Sawah Pujon Kidul - in Malang regency, about 25 minutes from Batu city.

Arriving here, you're able to enjoy the fantastic views. Food which provided here is traditional menus categorized cheap and delicious enough. If you have voucher which gotten in entrance gate, you can claim it as a food discount.

You may sit everywhere, but you've to makesure that you have already gotten food in food stalls provided by management. You can choose whatever food that you want because of buffet system.

There are a lot of flies here, so make sure that you are ready to face them when you are eating.
