One of the best trips of my life !🫰🏻 the real vacation and getting away from the busy and hectic days! located in the East of Kalimantan this place is a paradise on earth! I flew to Tarakan and continued with 3 hours of speed boat. It was quite exhausting but once you get to there you just can't wait explore the main island. Kampung Derawan as it is quite far from the city had many guest house managed by the locals but don't expect fancy resorts, they also had street food vendors spreading across the kampung. There would be lots of activies the next day ; exploring other beautiful island surrounds it such as Sangalaki, Maratua and Kakaban to swim with the stingless jellyfish. Kepulauan Derawan adalah sebuah kepulauan yang berada di Kabupaten Berau , Kalimantan Timur . Di kepulauan ini terdapat sejumlah objek wisata bahari menawan, salah satunya Taman Bawah Laut yang diminati wisatawan mancanegara terutama para penyelam kelas dunia. Kepulauan Derawan memiliki tiga kecamatan yaitu, Pulau Derawan , Maratua , dan Biduk Biduk, Berau . Sedikitnya ada empat pulau yang terkenal di kepulauan tersebut, yakni Pulau Maratua , Derawan , Sangalaki , dan Kakaban yang ditinggali satwa langka penyu hijau dan penyu sisik.
